Number of speakers of Sanskrit

Dude. I'm almost completely out of my league here...can you check out the latest mini-wasp-nest I'm trying to stir on Talk:Sanskrit language and see what you can do to find accurate data to help resolve the point I'm disputing? I understand per your previous posts to me that you're not a native Hindian speaker, but I'm hoping you'll know where to put a request for figures that are more relevant than a ridiculous "right down to the individual" number from (gasp!) 1961 for Sanskrit speakers... Hey, I feel really stupid. I was welcoming PlatypeanArchcow, who had red links on user and talk pages, when I accidently added the note on his/her user page. Just wondering if you could delete the page for the user, in case they don't want a user page. (I guess it does qualify for speedy delete as I am the author...). I have no disagreement with anyone: my friends and I often post under different usernames, and we post things that are inside jokes and don't make any sense to anyone else. Therefore, anyone who is "offended" by what I write must know me personally, and would probably have the decency to return my phone calls.

  You're right; most vandalism comes from anonymous users. But anonymous users also make a lot of great edits and help fight vandalism, so it would be unfair to characterize them all the same way. Misplaced Pages is all about writing in as soulless and robotic a manner as possible(!) so your own opinion does not taint the article. Please bear this in mind for future edits.     Well, I wouldn't exactly characterize the preferred writing style as soulless and robotic, although if one has difficulty deciding how much emotion to put in an article it'd be better to err on the side of less. I vandalized some pages. I am surprised that it was corrected so fast. Is it like that for all pages or only for prominent ones?

Bangla grammar table

I finished transcribing the simple past tense and made a few other minor changes. Do we need to transcribe the list of pronouns? If we do, I'd have to request you to extend the table when you get time. I am yet to learn the fun with all those "|" marks. -- Urnonav 14:19, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)

User Xtra moderates with a conservative agenda, - literally witholding information to suit his political platform 0 and so many people are frustrated with him, he should be the one getting a warning. He ven moderates pages of his poilitical rival and tells them what their pages should conatain, and yet is resistent to others wanting to change his political idol.

Anon User

The anon user who continually vandalises my page and has put up excuses here is not as geniune as he claims.

The IP address is extremely similar to the many ones used by PSYCH.

The conflict that the anon refers to is months old and the way the anon describes it is exteremely misleading. It has already been to the arbitration committee and resolved that PSYCH is on personal attack parol. There is not much more to it than that. PSYCH is apparantly trying to avoid detection by editting anonomously. This does not fool me as the M.O. is suspiciously similar each time.

Typos

"Licence" is just one of those words that I don't think I'll ever learn to spell properly! I'm generally not a fan of American spellings, but this one I'm not bothered about at all really as I can't spell it consistently myself! Thryduulf 18:07, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)

(Tag) Size Matters

This is in reference to the discussion I started at Wikipedia_talk:Babel. I'm going to put the Persian and English stubs here side-by-side so that you can see the size difference for yourself.

The only way I can make the Persian tag smaller is by removing the English translation. Even then, it's a tight fit for some of the subcat tags. Any suggestions? Do you know of any other admins or other Wikipedians who might be of help? I really want to coordinate with other tagmakers so that these don't all come out different sizes. --Jpbrenna 01:26, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)
