So when Nat and his friends David, Thomas, Josh, and Cooper were 9, and Alex was 6 in the year 2004.
Polly Draper pretended to make a documentry about Nat, Alex, and the band using mostly friends, and family members. Then one day Draper decided to actually film the movie and made the movie a "mocumentry". Then Draper showed the movie to "The Hamptons Internatinal Film Festival" in the year 2005 and won an "Audience Award for Childrens Feature Film" for the movie. Then she brought it to the attention of "Nickelodeon" and at first the vice president of "Nickelodeon" thought kids wouldnt understand the purpose of it but he change his mind and put it on "Nickelodeon" which premiered 8:30pm January 27, 2007 and the TV series started 8:30pm on Febuary 3, 2007.
