Betty Thompson was also a great mom and grandmother of the Jenkins Family in Tennessee who died on may 18 2004. Her memory will last for ever in our hearts and will wait for us in heaven. She had two great kids and 2 great grandchildren and a wonderful husband who loved her very much. She was also a mother figure to her grandchildren keilse and lexie. She will live for ever in our hearts and in heaven for an eternity. We all loved her very much. | |||

Betty Thompson (1934-1994) was a Canadian television presenter whose entire career was based at CKCO-TV in Kitchener, Ontario. She was seen throughout Canada as host of CTV's version of Romper Room, a children's programme produced at CKCO's studios.
She was born in Walkerton, Ontario and studied broadcasting at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute.
The annual Betty Thompson Golf Classic began in 1992 as a financial support for breast cancer education and research. She would die from this disease in 1994, three years after diagnosis. During her lifetime, Thompson would contribute to many charitable and community causes, particularly in Kitchener and its region.
