Hulk Hogan, or Terry Bolea (born August 11 1953) is an American professional wrestler. He was born in Augusta, Georgia.

He began wrestling professionally for the first time in 1978, using various names. Around 1980 he joined the World Wrestling Federation and called himself Hulk Hogan. It was at this point that he accepted the role of an honest and courageous fighter. Terry Bolea made the sport more exciting and brought new fans to it as he had a large public following. He used his popularity to gain television and cinema roles. He later reinvented himself as a heel (or villain).
