'''''The Legend of Zelda''''' is the tentative title for the next ] in ]'s ]. Because of the year of release, fans and gaming sites alike have dubbed it "Zelda 2005".

The game will feature graphics even more realistic than those found in ''Ocarina of Time'' instead of the cartoon look of ''The Wind Waker'' and ''Four Swords Adventures'', although it will still makes use of the cel-shading lighting effect from ''The Wind Waker'', and in fact runs on a heavily modified ''The Wind Waker'' engine. In a further departure from ''The Wind Waker'', Link is once more in his "]" form, similar to the second half of ''Ocarina of Time''. Link will also ride and fight on horseback. The release date is expected to be during Q4 2005.

Further rumors about the game have spread throughout the internet. Digitally altered images were released depicting realistic looking screenshots of the title screen, complete with made up names for the subtitle. Further speculations range far and wide, and have little basis.

As of ] ] no official title has been announced. The game was originally shown at ] ] in the form of a short trailer, and a new trailer was later shown at the 2005 ]. The graphical style for the game, while still fantasy-oriented, is of a more realistic tone than the previous game, '']''. It is also believed that the game takes on a much darker tone than its predecessor, judging from the trailers. Nintendo is unclear on where the game might chronologically fall into, or whether Ganondorf or the ] would be featured in the game. Interviews have touched upon it following directly on from '']'', but how connected it is story-wise has yet to be determined.


In recent interviews with ], the director, in ] and the spanish magazinge ''Hobby Consolas'', he revealed that ] and ] will return. Also returing is the popular fishing minigame from ]. Aonuma has also stated that the game will be much larger in size than Ocarina of Time. Aonuma stated that Link can communicate with animals, but did not elaborate on this. He also confirmed that voice acting will not be in the game.

==Rumors==
It is believed by some fans that the plot will be along the lines of ]. This idea originated with the fact that there is a very prominent moon in the background of the screen at the end of the second trailer for this game. A wolf, or perhaps a ], takes a stereotypical ] stance and howls at it. Whether or not this is true is unknown and yet to be seen.
