There are nine national parks in Slovakia (besides many other kinds of natural protection areas and reserves):
- Veľká Fatra National Park in the Veľká Fatra (Greater Fatra) mountains
- Malá Fatra National Park in the Malá Fatra (Lesser Fatra) mountains
- Low Tatras (Nízke Tatry)
- Muránska planina National Park (Národný park Muránska planina)
- Pieniny National Park (Pieninský národný park) in the Pieniny mountains
- Poloniny National Park
- Slovak Karst (Slovenský kras)
- Slovak Paradise National Park (Slovenský raj)
- Tatra National Park (Tatranský národný park)
