Jarvis/Jarvis Cocker

Thanks for catching that! I thought it was this guy, obviously. Guess I shouldn't add images to articles about people I never heard of. —Chowbok 05:03, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Misplaced Pages, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Misplaced Pages:Where to ask a question, ask me on my Talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome!

Thank you again for contributing to Misplaced Pages. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. —Lantoka 00:52, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

HardOCP

Also, it may interest you to know that I am one of the editors that keeps watch over the HardOCP article (and also the article for its related forum, General Mayhem). I have posted a message on Ctothej's talk page, which should keep the article from being WP:PRODded anymore. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Again, welcome! —Lantoka 00:52, 30 November 2006 (UTC)

The Heads

Any chance you could follow up your prod removal with evidence on the band's notability? Were their albums released on notable labels? Sources? WP:MUSIC? Thanks, Deizio talk 03:21, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Dr Who

As the person who originally inserted "skips (dumpsters)" in the Fear Her article, I would just like to mention that previously it said "bins", which is misleading as it could be taken to refer to small domestic waste bins. I wasn't aware that "skip" had an article to itself, and thought the British usage would be unfamiliar to Americans, hence my version. Anyway your edit is an improvement (though as the dumpster page says, the term "dumpster" is often used generically in addition to being a trade mark for one brand of such containers).
