Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, commonly known with its initials SUST, is a state-supported technical university located in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Established in 1987, it is the first science and technology university in Bangladesh. The university started its academic programme from 14 February, 1991 with three departments: physics, chemistry and economics.
