Shishaq (Šîšaq שׁישׁק) is the biblical Hebrew form of the ancient Egyptian name of king Shoshenq I. In English translations of the Bible, it is typically written "Shishak." See the article on Shoshenq I for more information. There is also evidence that "Shishak" is a reference to Ramesses II.
