semi protection - is there a procedure for long-term semi-protection? This article is constantly vandalized by IP editors (not by any one user in particular) - an average of 5 or 6 vandalisms per day to that one article. Good faith editors regularly revert the damage manually. The page was semi-protected for two weeks. Vandalism immediately resumed at the usual frequency as soon as the protection expired at 08:14, 26 May 2007 (UTC). In the six days since then, there have been more than 32 vandalism incidents, manually reverted. For some unknown reason, this article seems to attract endless random vandalism, wasting the time of many editors to constantly fix the problems. Semi-protection - since removal of semi-protection, article has experienced immediate vandalism by various anonymous IP addresses. Most likely this will continue as this article was a constant source of vandalism before it was previously protected. When it was protected, there was very little vandalism going on.
