Thanks for your reply - you are the "Queen," because you have such impeccable self-control and a near-divine character, which is why I asked for your advice. (P.S. - no apologies needed for delays in responding. Real life comes first :)
I am a bit disappointed that people look at this in terms of an "Indian." It is true that most do not know which version of facts to trust, but nobody should think that this is anything particularly "Indian" or solely affecting the Indian editors. What I did, I had to do for Misplaced Pages - if a particular group of editors are ripped apart, that should reveal more about the seriousness of the issue and the importance of leaving one's background out of things. NPOV cannot be achieved if people keep thinking on these lines - these national and religious boundaries are meaningless. Besides, I have a strongly American heart and soul, which gives me the strength to be who I am and do the right thing, no matter how many would hate me.
Listening to what you said gives me more courage and peace of mind. Going 6 to 1 against a bunch of vicious trolls can make one do disgusting things, so I just wanted to talk a bit to know if I had actually demeaned myself. I feel much better now, although I am ready for a bit of a vacation from Misplaced Pages. Thanks again, ] 13:36, 4 June 2007 (UTC) |

!Oh my! Thank you so much, Phaedriel! Unfortunately we did not have much interaction before you took your break (and had your beautiful daughter!) but I have heard so many lovely things about you from Kyoko and Riana, and I see you around Spring's talkpage all the time. I would be honoured if in the future I could get to know you better; I can't think of a nicer, kinder person out there :) Give your daughter a hug and kiss on the cheek for me, and I'm sending a hug to you too! Thank you again, you certainly cheered up my day ^_^ — Editor at Large 15:50, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Thank you"Being indian"Please clean this up so that it isn't just a rant attacking Christians, Whites, and the US government. Misplaced Pages is not a soapbox. Statements like "It is having a Christian missionary tell you it is wrong to believe in more than one Divine Being, then listen to him tell you about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, the Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, St. Patrick, St. Christopher, St. Francis, etc." and "It is feeling the stares of all the whites in any public place you walk into." are inappropriate. Thank you.--70.243.82.59 20:23, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

ThanksFor the quick protect on Rani Mukherjee. Haphar 17:13, 29 May 2007 (UTC) poem by C. Brontë about A. Brontë's deathHi Sharon, I noticed your tribute to Anne Brontë, and I thought I would bring this poem to your attention. It's by Anne's sister Charlotte. It is a very mournful poem. --Kyoko 17:25, 29 May 2007 (UTC) On the Death of Anne Brontë There's little joy in life for me, Msnbc.comHi. I oppose the full protection of Msnbc.com. The "vandalism" that the two users were reverting wasn't vandalism. It was a good faith edit by a new user for which MOS style complaints (mentioned on the user's talk page) aren't a valid reason for editing and "getting an article good before posting" (paraphrase of comment on talk page as well) isn't anything like Misplaced Pages. While I agree the article needed work, references, and MOS and other improvements, the "edit war" could have been much better resolved by the "experienced" users talking to the user on the talk page or on their user page rather than protection and reverting with little (and harsh) comments. I left a note on one of the two's talk page about WP:BITE. Could you please unprotect the page (I realize it's only a day, but I don't think it should have been done at all) and restore the article that was there? Thank you for your time. Fantastic userpageGood morning! What a wonderful, pleasant surprise when I logged in and saw the new page! It's great. Your choice of colors is beautiful...not what I had mentioned, but better! About the BrontësDear Sharon (or do you prefer Phaedriel on-wiki? I forget), I'm glad that you appreciated the poem. Your message reminded me of a documentary I once saw on TV about the Brontës. I think it was on the History Channel. I don't remember much from the show, but among other things, it discussed how one sibling's difficulties would be reflected in the writings of another. I wish I could remember more of what was said. I have to confess my ignorance of Anne's novels; I know they exist, but I just haven't read them. --Kyoko 15:36, 30 May 2007 (UTC) Dear PhaedrielDearest Phaedriel. Thank you so, so, so much! It's okay. It's okay Phaedriel, I'm not worrying about him. :) He will just get blocked by the administrators who watch my user and talk pages. In the end, he will just get fed up and do something else. He will just be blocked on sight (well, unless it's me who notices him trolling again; I can't block him). As for dropping something by my mailbox, I assume you mean E-mail but I may be wrong; I'll wait and see what you send. :) Acalamari 16:50, 30 May 2007 (UTC) Got your mail!Dear Phaedriel, I got your mail and I will reply when I can. I'm still trying to figure out what my next big project will be. I got a bit tired dealing with The Lais of Marie de France. I might end up working on the Roman de la Rose after all, though it will take a bit of work. I've never read the whole thing before, so that has to be done first. If you look at the article, you can see that I've done a little bit on it, not much so far. For bigger projects where most of the work is from scratch, I tend to compose my text offline. Love, Kyoko 17:13, 30 May 2007 (UTC) Thanks for the lovely note!I had just returned from a brisk walk through the hills around Hollywood when I saw I had a message here. There's an interesting weather phenomenon in LA this time of year called June gloom. As I read your note, the gray clouds burned away and the sun started to shine through. Quite a coincidence. The world is a lovely place for those who allow it to be! Thanks again for the poem, and if you feel like giving my User page a facelift, you are welcome to! Just keep the notice at the top that it's a user page, and no pink or orange, please! Only if you are in the mood, too. I'd rather see you spreading more wikilove! Love, Kyoko 21:52, 30 May 2007 (UTC) HiPhaedriel, I really appreciate your message at my talk page. Would you mind if we talk some more about this whole thing? I don't feel like I've talked with anyone yet who seemed calm and reasonable about the incident, and I really would like to talk about the actual edit dispute that I had that led to a harassment charge. Everything became highly inflamed after Bishonen's harassment accusation, and I want to focus on what happened before that. I still cannot comprehend how anyone could think that I was harassing KC prior to Bishonen's harassment allegation. And I do not understand how KC could think that she was being a responsible editor during this edit dispute. I feel like this whole thing has been a personal attack, and being accused of harassment is no fun. Anyway, I guess I've made myself a bit "toxic" so I won't be surprised if you decline. But still, it would be nice to talk to someone about the actual edit dispute, i.e. what happened before and leading up to the harassment accusation. I really think KC behaved very badly, and that I did not harass anyone, but I have been wrong before.Ferrylodge 02:11, 31 May 2007 (UTC) AwwI'm a bit bummed out since you didn't find me as an awesome wikipedian. :) ~ ΜΛGиυs ΛΠιмυМ ≈ √∞ 02:34, 31 May 2007 (UTC) Cliff's Day?!?ME?!?!?!?!? I saw, earlier, that you were involved in socks checking (or something like that). I just saw a report on AN3RR which looks somewhat fishy. A series of edits were made to an article by 75.49.39.164 which resulted in reverts. Then a new account User:Starfish2 made virtually the same edit. Followed by similar edits by User:Migospia. I'm AGF and all that, but there seems to be a history here, with the involved users. Is there any chance the anon IP, new user, and Migospia are related? hmm I get blocked for 24 hours out of nowhere to me under false grounds, and when some else of apparent higher standards violates a rule it is nothing, no block nothing, so of course it is a little hard to *calm down*, believe me I am keeping pretty cool about this. Believe me of all people I know life is to short, but it is hard to enjoy my time here when Misplaced Pages is full of hate, misjudgment, personal attacks, accusations, hypocrites, selective blocking and selective violation of rules, etc, it really upsets me and I do not need to be gained up on like this for doing little little wrong--Migospia☆ 02:44, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

With me, its a recurring problem from the day I came to Misplaced Pages. When people attack my integrity, I just lose it. I believe in the philosophy of treating others well, but when attacked, I find it extremely difficult to not lash out. I give myself the option of either breaking a window or lashing out at the person who attacks me - I inevitably pick the latter as my window has never tried to hurt me. Yes, this is an honest request for some "practical" advice. Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 01:36, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

An Odd QuestionOn the userboxes some of us have, it says our contribs to Misplaced Pages. Mine says "This user has made over 300 contributions to Misplaced Pages." at the moment. The numbers I am getting are from this link that is added into the userbox. My question is, using that link, are my total contribs just the mainspace edits number (which is 299...close enough to 300) or the total edits number (which is close to 1100). That is where I am slightly confused. I personally think it is the 299...since talk page edits don't a contribution make. Thanks for your help....NeutralHomer 02:45, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

ThanksThanks for taking care of the troll Roosaa and semi-protecting my user page. I have a feeling that it might be the Italian vandal (Johnny the Vandal), as that vandal recently started trolling Jack Phoenix and I on Wikia, Wikimedia (prev. cases), and other wikis (probably due to our administrative/antivandalism actions on Wikia). Several checkuser queries on those wikis indicate Italian IP addresses (inc. 87.'s and 82.'s). Seems like he's not about to give up soon... G.He 18:12, 3 June 2007 (UTC) i need your help againhello, the user maggott2000 is still deleting the sourced material that i found, this time all the material has veryfiable, appropriate and reliable sources. i will give you the link of one fact:tina turner is the most successful female rock-artist of all time, please check it out and read "TRIVIA" in the earth's biggest movie database site, this site is always updated and is more reliable then fan-club sites: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0877913/bio re: SmileSharon - That was a wonderful beautiful message you left on my talk page, sis. I haven't been doing so bad lately, but that really picked up my spirits. Your spirit and optimism are a godsend to more people than you realize. I know that keeping up your good humor is probably not the easiest thing to do sometimes. Give that baby a hug for me. I will catch up to you soon via e-mail. Love, --rogerd 19:21, 3 June 2007 (UTC) CommentsPhaedriel: I have replied by e-mail. Please think carefully, because I am a deeply serious person.--Anthony.bradbury 20:18, 3 June 2007 (UTC) Dear PhaedrielThis might well be the first time I've stumbled across your user and user talk pages since your happy news. I wish you and yours all the warmth, hope, and love I possibly could in the many good months and years ahead, and the trust in the fact that I, along with so many others, missed seeing you around for all the time since you were otherwise occupied. All the best to you and yours. Bobo. 20:38, 3 June 2007 (UTC) Your help is politely requestedCould you please have a word with User:A Man In Black and User:Calton. I don't want to go through the same fight over the same "reliable sources" nonsense again on the KXGN-TV page. I put down a source, it is wiped out by User:A Man In Black as not reliable. When a site gets their information directly from the TV station itself, it is as reliable as you can get. Then I get a nice rude message from User:Calton. Him and I have history, hence why I changed my username. I moved from one name to another to get away from him and of course he is back. I play by the rules, source what is asked with the best source I can find and am insulted and berated from an admin and, sorry to say, his croney. Could you please have a word with these two. I don't want to have to change my username a third time. Many thanks....NeutralHomer 22:07, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Calton (talk · contribs)You probably don't know me, but me and Neutralhomer/SVRTVDude have been sorta wiki-friends after a scandalous sockpuppet case. Calton has been harrassing Neautralhomer on his userpage and has trolled on mine twice for no reason. Could you please take care of him? Its evident he is a trolling, bad faith assuming, personal attacker. Thanks very much, --T. Wiki 23:16, 3 June 2007 (UTC) ThanksHello Sharon! It's always good to hear from you. Thank you for the beautiful message. Any special occasion? --Merovingian ※ Talk 23:35, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
my contribs listHi Phaedriel, can I request your trained admin's eye for a moment? Something seems to be wrong with my contribs list, it's not showing any edits I made after adding that "wikibonked" template to my userpage. I've made a couple edits since then but they aren't on the list--something wrong in the system? K. Lásztocska 01:39, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
hellosadly the user maggott2000 didn't stop deleting the material with verifiable sources even when told many times to stop, in tina turner's page. I can show you some of the things that this person is deleting without reason: "TINA TURNER embodies the best and the earthiest meaning of women in Rock and remains the truest Rock diva of all".....http://www.kennedy-center.org/calendar/index.cfm?fuseaction=showIndividual&entitY_id=14582&source_type=A

We never met each other but I read thousands of usertalk pages, article disscusion pages, and others, and every time you said something, it was nice, so here you go! Penubag 06:29, 4 June 2007 (UTC) Sharonnnnn :)
Thank youThank you for the beautiful poem. Walton 08:51, 4 June 2007 (UTC) Walton has smiled at you! Smiles promote WikiLove and hopefully this one has made your day better. Spread the WikiLove by smiling at someone else, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. Happy editing! Re:a questionThanks for your reply - you are the "Queen," because you have such impeccable self-control and a near-divine character, which is why I asked for your advice. (P.S. - no apologies needed for delays in responding. Real life comes first :) I am a bit disappointed that people look at this in terms of an "Indian." It is true that most do not know which version of facts to trust, but nobody should think that this is anything particularly "Indian" or solely affecting the Indian editors. Thanks again, Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 13:36, 4 June 2007 (UTC) |
