Trivia

  • Rani Mukerji became known as the "Khandala Girl" after the hit song "Aati Kya Khandala".
  • This was the only movie in which Rani Mukerji's voice was dubbed.
  • Rani Mukerji's role was first offered to Pooja Bhatt.
  • Adapted from Marlon Brando starrer On the Waterfront.
  • A sequence in the film shows Aamir Khan running on rail tracks towards an oncoming train, which misses him by a few feet as he jumps off the tracks. 1.3 seconds was the only difference between Aamir and the train. This stunt was actually performed, and by Aamir himself. It won him the Best Stunt award, but he later criticized himself for taking such an unnecessary risk.
