KBVR FM is the non-profit, student run, radio station of Oregon State University, and operates at 340 watts of power on the carrier frequency of 88.7 FM in Corvallis, Oregon. The station can be heard in about a 30 mile radius around Corvallis (depending on altitude). KBVR was founded in 1966, and celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2006. KBVR is host to many programs: The NickelBlock NickelBlock(sports talk), Soul-Ah(Jazz/Specialty), and Pre-pre-party(Hip-Hop/RPM).
