Mark Morrison (born 3 May 1972, in Hanover, Germany) was one of the most successful British urban R&B singers of the mid-'90s. His breakthrough single, Return of the Mack became a Top Ten hit across Europe in 1996, and opened the U.S. market for him the following year.

Despite his success, he was still frequently in trouble with the law; at one point, he was arrested for trying to bring a stun gun onto a plane. He was convicted for this and sent to jail in early 1997. Around this time, "Return of the Mack" was enjoying great success in the United States and he also received four Brit Award nominations.
