Folks,

Sorry for the mass posting, but with the copyright nazis breathing down our necks we have to defend the work we've been putting in. Please fully attribute and rationalize all images we post to H!P articles so that we can keep the copyright nazis (who don't seem to contribute to any Wiki articles at all) away for good, and do not hesitate to defend against these pricks.

Also, please keep me informed via my talk page or via e-mail (minimoniotaku@gmail.com) if these copyright nazis start hassling you to look for "free" images (that don't exist) of our heroines. They claim that no image is better than a non-free image, I say that's a lame cop-out.

And finally, if anyone knows a good copyright or US Constitutional Law legal expert that can give us some pro bono advice on these matters, have them get in touch with me. --] 03:51, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

Could you please write a stub http://pam.wikipedia.org/Kur%C3%B3w - just a few sentences based on http://en.wikipedia.org/Kur%C3%B3w ? Only 2 -5 sentences enough. Please. Pietras1988 10:08, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Kaorinbyronmanzano.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Kaorinbyronmanzano.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Misplaced Pages because of copyright law (see Misplaced Pages's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Misplaced Pages is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Misplaced Pages are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Misplaced Pages talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 00:47, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

Child of Deaf Adult

I have noticed that you are affiliated with sign language in one way or another. The article on CODAs needs quite a bit of work, and I think is an important article to have as a part of Misplaced Pages. I would like to invite you to participate in making it a better article. — Esprit15d 20:19, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Iida's Door no Mukou de Bell ga Natteta.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Iida's Door no Mukou de Bell ga Natteta.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use it on Misplaced Pages (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. User:Angr 20:01, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Okay, I added a summary. I hope that would be okay.

WikiProject Hello! Project Userbox

I just made a userbox for WP:H!P so if you want to put it on your user page, it's {{User WikiProject Hello! Project}}. If not, you should still add

to your user page so your name can be added to Category:WikiProject Hello! Project participants. --Chuckleberry 06:58, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Image:Maeda 2006.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Maeda 2006.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Misplaced Pages articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 48 hours after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ed g2stalk 11:55, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

about that link in Morning Musume

it was Shiroguma who added the link, I had a discussion with him about that link that it should be removed, but just get rid of the "fan site" label

but yeah it requires registration so it should be removed which it now is. I would just let him know about that Momusufan 23:29, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

Image:IidaKaori.jpg

Hello, Eugh jei. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:IidaKaori.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Eugh jei/Sandbox. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 08:58, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:GMA's I Luv NY.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:GMA's I Luv NY.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:13, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Tanpopo Single V Clips 1.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Tanpopo Single V Clips 1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Misplaced Pages articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:22, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
