Lajen (Laion) (Italian: Laion; German: Lajen; Archaic (985 AD): Legian) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 70 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 20 km northeast of the city of Bolzano (Bozen). As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,401 and an area of 37 km².
