Most of the book deals with how Emir Suljagic survived the July 1995, Srebrenica massacre of an estimated 8,000 men by the Bosnian Serb army. He decided to write this testimony of the event, which he has dedicated to the victims of the massacre, to counter the revisionist history being put forth by such figures as George Bogdanich. .
