Runescape history and development

Don't feel threatened; controversy is part of being bold! Is there any reason for moving a large section from RuneScape to a Runescape history and development article? Currently, size is not an issue with the article (merely 28Kb - when I started Misplaced Pages it was in the 60Kbs, and has maxed in the 100Kbs), and this section provides the historical background that the rest of the article depends upon to make sense. Hyenaste  00:38, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

I was just about to ask the same question! Really, I've seen much larger articles.--Ed or Treat? 02:17, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Fancruft tag on Final Fantasy XI

Would you mind coming to the talk page for this article and explaining the specific areas you see in the Gameplay section that contain fancruft? This section was very carefully rewritten a number of months ago to remove the cruftiness that had been all over it and, as the person who did most of the work on the rewrite, I'm very curious as to where it still remains. Thanks! -RaCha'ar 17:23, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

My edit to Script Modi

Thanks, Exarion, for advising me about speedy deletion. That was my next step! Sarayuparin 00:13, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

My talk page

Thank you so very much for reverting that, sure, the image was deleted a very long time ago, and sure, maybe it is my talk page, and so what if the page I originaly intended the image to be used on was deleted, that doesn't mean I should have gotten rid of the message. Thank you for that.--Labine50 02:30, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Excuse me?

I'm sorry, did you just caution 74.134.232.95 for vandalism and then revert Tim Buckley (artist) to "He's not a nice person. By that, I mean he's a dick." ? You essentially blatantly vandalized the biography of a living person after the page was redirected in accordance with points 1 and 17 on the Ctrl+Alt+Del discussion page as well as most of the discussion on the Tim Buckley (artist) Talk page itself. It would be trite to post a vandalism warning here, but you really should know better.

Oh, I see what you did there, my apologies for my tone. Carry on.

Talk:RuneScape

Would you care to explain how this was justified? Misplaced Pages defines trolls here. Meanwhile, that was a legitimate conversation, and I would appreciate it if you did not delete whatever disagrees with your point of view. --Hojimachong 22:44, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject MMO Newsletter - April 2007

WikiProject MMO Quarterly
April 2007 Issue I
About Us
WikiProject MMO Quarterly is a quarterly newsletter posted on the first of January, April, July, and October. The newsletter is written by any and all interested members of WikiProject Massively multiplayer online games for members of the project and interested Wikipedians outside of the project.
Questions, comments, and concerns
For general questions, comments, and concerns, leave a message on our talk page here. For questions, comments, and concerns about our newsletter, leave a message on the talk page for the newsletter section of our Outreach Department here.
New good articles and featured articles
Good articles and featured articles are a great way to see what major acomplishments we have made over the last quarter.

Good articles

Featured articles
None this quarter!

Role call
We ask that within a month, all members sign our role call to show that they are still active participants in the project. More information is available on the role call page.
Major news
WikiProject RuneScape, our former child project, was moved to become a task force of this project in January as it had a small scope but the task force is still going strong to this very day.

This past quarter marks the beginning of our new collaboration system MMOGCM. Past collaborations thus far have been World of Warcraft and MMORPG, both of which made it to GA status while it was the MMOGCM.

As well, we now have an Outreach Department which works on this newsletter as well as spreads the word of our project.

WikiProject MMO is also now a participant in the Work via WikiProjects division of Misplaced Pages 1.0 and as such, we will be helping decide which are the best (based on quality and importance) articles within our scope. Project members can discuss which articles are to be included here.

News from the RuneScape Task Force
We are currently trying to improve this task force so that we can edit all RuneScape-related articles in an organized manner. To do that we started a massive overhaul which we invite all task force members to participate in.

We have also gotten our main article, RuneScape to good article status this quarter. All this, and the task force was only created in January.

Signed...
Greeves, Ed

On behalf of WikiProject Massively multiplayer online games.

Help! Hi, I'm very confused. I just, for the very first time EVER, attempted to make a contribution to an article by clicking on EDIT. When I did so, there was a message for me from you written in February 2007, warning me that if I were to vandalize another page, as you claim I had with "Caedmon's Call" (?), I would be blocked. Well, I have NEVER visited the Caedmon's Call page, let alone vandalized it or anything else. What on earth makes you think that I did?

That was most likely another user with your IP address. If you did not make that edit, ignore that message and consider creating an account to avoid future mixups.

My Talk Page

Blanking my talk page is a legitimate activity and I will do so at my discretion. Please review WP:TPG#Editing comments for more information. Thanks. //Tecmobowl 20:56, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

It may be annoying when people blank their talk page, but it's not vandalism, and it's not worth getting into a revert war over it. I'd say, let it go. Mangojuice 20:59, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Your AIV report

Thank you for making a report about 76.189.76.207 (talk · contribs · block log) at Misplaced Pages:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Misplaced Pages and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators generally only block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you. 21:17, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Final Fantasy XI

Thanks a lot for getting the ball rolling. Not many of us have played XI, so it's been hard to trim something like that. Are you going to see the entire FA push to the end? The article is already fairly close, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Oh, if you have the game manual, it may help to add a few cites in the gameplay section/gameplay subarticle. — Deckiller 02:48, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Delistment of Rite of Spring

The procedures for delisting an article per GA/R are listed at the top of the page. This article's discussion clearly did not meet the criteria for processing. Also, it should have been noted that I added a comment just hours ago requesting further recommendations. Additionally, you did not complete the process. Discussions are not just deleted from the page. As noted in the archiving instructions, located in an expandable table at near the top of the page, all discussions are archived with an emboldened "Result" listed. Additionally, any discussions archived from the backlog list need to be removed and the next in line added.

While participation in the project is appreciated, I don't see where you have previously contributed, thus I recommend that archiving be left to those of us who have experience with it. LaraLove/C 05:51, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
