Pokémon Diamond and Pearl are new Pokémon games to be released for the Nintendo DS. Not much is known about them. The names Diamond and Pearl are currently unconfirmed, although the games have been officially announced by Nintendo.

Coro Coro magazine have currently only confirmed five new 4th generation Pokémon:

All appear in the 8th movie, Mew and the Wave Guiding Hero - Rukario, and Munchlax also appears in the 7th movie, Destiny Deoxys.

Many people have speculated over what will be in the games. Among the most wanted features is a customizable trainer.

Current speculation is that Diamond and Pearl will be released for the 2005 Christmas Season.

Pokémon Diamond was also the name of an unauthorized bootleg version of the Japanese Game Boy Color game Telefang.
