Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay is a role-playing game sharing the same dark, gothic background as the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop miniatures game. Though the game should eventually branch out to cover various other areas of the 40K universe, the initial releases will concentrate on humanity, specifically agents of the Inquisition.

Black Industries is creating their own sector of space for the game, Calixis Sector, an area of the Segmentum Obscurus.

Development

Black Industries, the role-playing game imprint of BL Publishing, which is itself a part of Games Workshop, is the developing Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay (commonly referred to as 40KRP)

The game is still in playtest for an estimated release in February 2008, and a demo booklet will be distributed at GenCon 2007. The game will share many design features with WHFRP2, but the development team has leaked few specifics.
