Template:Infobox Israel muni Modi'in Illit (Template:Lang-he, lit. Upper Modi'in) is an Israeli settlement and local council on the edge of Samaria (Northern West Bank). According to the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), as of September 2006, the town had a total population of 33,200, predominantly Haredi, making it the largest Israeli settlement in the West Bank.
As its name implies, Modi'in Illit is a suburb of Modi'in, located in a settlement bloc in the hills just across the Green Line from it. While it is an independent locality, it is technically located in territory administered by the Matte Binyamin Regional Council.
