Stiepel is a district of the City of Bochum in the Ruhr area in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is on the Ruhr, which is its border to the neighbouring urbanities of Hattingen and Witten. Stiepel used to be a municipality in the Landkreis Bochum (in English approximately: non-unitary county of Bochum), which was integrated into Bochum in 1929.

Stiepel is the most affluent part of Bochum. Stiepel has an old village church, which belongs, like many of its residents, to the Lutheran Church.
