In 1901 Dev Shumsher Jang Bahadur Rana, or simply Dev Shumsher Rana seated as the premier of Nepal from January to December 1901. "The Reformist" as he was called, Dev Shumsher Rana has been recognized by historians as the first benevolent, progessive & liberal-minded ruler of Nepal. He had a great vision & introduced a number of reforms.
