Xirrus Wi-Fi Array consists of a Wi-Fi controller, access points, sector antenna system, and Wi-Fi threat sensor.

Xirrus, Inc is a Wi-Fi technology company based in Westlake Village, California that designs and sells wireless networking equipment based on the IEEE standards 802.11a, 802.11b, and 802.11g. Unlike traditional Wi-Fi architectures that utilize omni-directional access points linked to Wi-Fi controllers in IT closets, the Xirrus architecture integrates the Wi-Fi controller, multiple 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios, and a sector antenna system into a single wireless LAN device known as a Wi-Fi Array. Xirrus claims that by integrating these components into a single device at the edge of the network, IT managers will get greater throughput and support more users capacity of Wi-Fi-enabled computers, phones, cameras, printers, etc.
