Telephony
Fixed telephony
- Telephones - main lines in use: 177,663 (2005)
Services provided by T-Com Montenegro (Owned by T-Crnogorski Telekom), which has a monopoly in operating fixed telephone lines.
Mobile telephony
Services are provided by two GSM operators, ProMonte (Owned by Telenor) and T-Mobile Montenegro (Owned by T-Crnogorski Telekom). Both providers have national coverage, and provide advanced services. A third provider, under a consortium between Telekom Srbija and Dutch Ogalar, is planning to start service in 2007 under the prefix (0)68 with the name MTEL . Also, 3G telephony is expected to begin in 2007.
Internet
- Internet users: 50,000 (2004)
Internet services are provided mostly by T-Com Montenegro. In addition to dial-up access, in 2005 it started offering ADSL service.
Broadcast
- Radio broadcast stations: 31 (2004)
- Television broadcast stations: 13 (2004)
RTCG is the state-owned public broadcaster with nationwide coverage. Other privately owned television broadcast stations mostly cover major cities in Montenegro.
