We need to change a bit, even if changing it opens us up for more criticism."

Criticism: Accusations of Anti-Black Racism

Jessica Valenti was subject to withering criticism from a fellow feminist blogger, Nubian, a woman of color who objected to the illustration on the cover of "Full Frontal Feminism". ] "Why the WHITE NAKED torso of a woman? (We) are always up in arms about how women’s bodies are protrayed... is this what white feminism is these days? Why does feminism have to be so overtly sexualized?" In addition to the images self exploitative aspect, she criticized its racially exclusive nature: "It is so obvious that this book is not for my young cousin, her friends, and a number of other young women of color who believe that they should be treated the same as any other woman. But i guess, they don’t matter, do they?"
