Ruben Filipe Marques Amorim is a promising Portuguese Footballer who plays defensive midfielder for CF Os Belenenses in Portugal. He was born in Lisbon, Portugal on January 27 1985.
Amorim is considered one of the most important future prospects of Portuguese football due to his constant performances for club. Playing with the U-21s, he also qualified for the U-21 tournament held in Holland in July 2007.
His style is similar to Portuguese footballer Tiago Mendes with both playing the same position playing, either defensive or offensive. With this in mind several clubs have been interested in his services but he insists on not leaving with Belenenses rejecting bids from SL Benfica, SC Braga, Tottenham Hotspur and Toulouse FC, with the player staying for at least another year with the club participating in the UEFA Cup.
