St John's Regional College is located on Caroline Street in the suburb of Dandenong, in Victoria, Australia. It is a co-educational Catholic High School with students studying years 7 through to 12. The majority of students attended Catholic primary schools in the surrounding parishes. The students of St John's Regional College are regarded to be highly aware of cultural diversity and acceptance due to Dandenong having the highest incidence of multiculturalism in Australia. On average, VCE students perform well with many years showcasing some high academic achievers. A highlight in the St John's Regional College calendar is the St John's Presentation Ball which occurs in May every year for year 11 students.

New Houses

The new house system was a result of a lack of competitiveness between houses in the previous years in interhouse swimming and athletics. The hope is that the new house system will allow for greater competition between students and a friendly rivalry. Throughout the fifty-year history of St John’s, this phrase has also been translated as Courage strives for the stars.

The six Houses of St John’s – Aquila, Columba, Delphinus, Leonis, Monoceros, and Phoenix - take as their inspiration six of the ‘stars or constellations of heaven’, which are rich in Christian symbolism.
