Rosalie Lamorlière is a character of the anime, Lady Oscar. She's based on a historical figure of the same name, a peasant woman who worked taking care of Marie Antoinette in her last days. Her background in the series, however, is completely fictionalized.
In the series, Rosalie Lamorlière was the adoptive daughter of Nicole Lamorlière and adoptive sister of Jeanne Valois. She discovered, thanks to Oscar, that her true mother was her adoptive mother's killer, Lady de Polignac.
Living in poverty
This episode marks Rosalie's first appearance in the anime. Though most of the episode is about her sister Jeanne, Rosalie's mother hints at a greater secret relating to her "nobility".
In this episode Rosalie faces the prospects of her mother's medical condition worsening. She goes to her sister Jeanne for help with money for food and medication, but is rejected and even whipped by Nicholas, Jeanne's lover. On the way home, Rosalie meets Oscar for the first time and offers herself as a prostitute, but Oscar rejects her and loans her some money.
Encounter with the Duke of Guéméné
When the Duke of Guéméné is about to kill a little boy named Pierre for trying to pickpocket him, Rosalie appears and begs the Duke to forgive Pierre. The Duke of Guéméné accepts, but when he's about to leave, shoots Pierre anyway, who dies on the spot.
Encounter with Lady Oscar
Rosalie desperately searches for work, and finally gets a job. Meanwhile, her mother is accidentally run over by the carriage of the Duchess de Polignac. As Nicole is dying, she confesses to Rosalie that her true mother is a noblewoman named Martine Gabrielle. Rosalie, her only desire to kill her mother's murderer, attempts to kill Oscar's mother, having mistaken her for the lady in the carriage. Oscar stops Rosalie and promises to help her find Nicole's murderer.
Living as a noble
Oscar's family takes Rosalie in. Oscar herself teaches Rosalie horse riding, fencing and the use of firearms. She also teaches Rosalie history, manners, and improves Rosalie's diction.
Encounter with Charlotte
Oscar, Rosalie and André go to a party at the Madame Elizabeth mansion, which Rosalie attends as Oscar's escort. All the guests are impressed because it's the first time Oscar attends a party with a companion.
Charlotte, jealous of all the attention on Rosalie, starts pestering her, asking Rosalie repeatedly about her origins. Rosalie, in response to Charlotte's chidlish behavior, throws her fan at Charlotte and hits her in the face.
Then Rosalie leaves the main room and goes to the hall and runs into Jeanne. Jeanne pretends that she doesn't know Rosalie, but Rosalie tells her that their mother has passed away.
Encounter with Lady de Polignac
Death of Charlotte
Little Charlotte is engaged to the Duke de Guiche because of her mother, Lady de Polignac.
Meanwhile, Oscar and André, investigating the identity of Martine Gabrielle, discover that she is the woman Rosalie swore to kill, Lady de Polignac. Rosalie accidentally hears the conversation between Oscar and André and decides to take matters into her own hands.
Rosalie prepares and ambushes Lady de Polignac, but when she is about to shoot, Oscar arrives and stops her. Then, Oscar consoles Rosalie and shows her Charlotte, who she would have hurt infinitely had she killed Lady Polignac.
After this, a party is held in the Palace of Versailles, which Charlotte attends. After meeting in a room with her future husband, the Duke de Guiche, Charlotte loses her reason, and goes to the top of a high tower. The party guests go outside and watch as Charlotte falls to her death.
Rosalie, trying to maintain her composure, says that she never wished to know her sister and that having the same blood didn't mean they had to be friends, but as she faces Charlotte's dead body she is unable to control her emotions and sobs at the loss of her sister.

In the prison of Marie Antoinette
Rosalie has married the journalist Bernard Châtelet, an old friend of Oscar and André, and is seen as Marie-Antoinette's last confident, taking care of the former Queen until the day of her execution.
