Article "SKIN band"
There is no official information, or any major media publication that states this band is a "supergroup", only one member has achieved some sort of major success in their native homeland. They do not qualify as being a supergroup. Do not write fandom as facts! It is fabricated nonsense! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.49.172.148 (talk) 20:23, August 27, 2007 (UTC)

Dir en grey songs
Hi there. I just returned all the Dir en grey singles to the category:Dir en grey songs. Since you reverted those edits in late June, I'd like to be clear why I did that. There was a massive switch of all "Singles by artist" categories recently which ruled that all articles about singles would go under the category:Songs by artist subcategories. So even if a single contains other songs (most do), it goes under the Songs category of that artist. That cool?--Mike Selinker 16:08, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Oooh, sorry. I haven't heard about that yet. I can go in and revert that. I was just putting them nunder albums becuase it seemed to help put them all into one place.--Jake 17:04, 8 August 2006
Your last comment and a question...
Thank you for messaging me about that RYOUJOKU NO AME complication earlier. I now understand an will follow what is printed in the CD.
Recently a user made a page for the bootlegged audio rip of TOUR06 INWARD SCREAM; do you think it should be added to the discography? Here is the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/TOUR06_INWARD_SCREAM
Thank you for reading this.

a knot
Hi Jake,
About the a knot-specific releases we discussed earlier: While it's certainly nice to have information regarding these exclusive releases, an own article for the club seems like overkill. I browsed through the articles of several bands from different countries and of varrying popularity (that's what I usually do when trying to evaluate something for the Deg article) and didn't find a single article specifically for a band's fan club. Not even Metclub (by Metallica), which is rather well known/active, I believe. In any case, the a knot-exclusive releases which are mentioned on Deg's official site are also mentioned in the various videography-related articles. There isn't really much more to write about until (well sourced) information regarding other exclusive releases surfaces.
Anyway, thanks for your appreciation of my contributions and your work on Misplaced Pages in general. :)
Take care

Sources for Deg fan club DVD
Hi, are there any sources for this new DVD release which could be added to the article? The track listing is also a little confusing, as it mentions disc one and then disc three. Maybe the Inward Scream concert is on disc two? By the way, thanks for not jumping on the "it's Dir en grey, everything has to be capitalized!"-band wagon. License tagging for Image:Kaory Music&People.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Kaory Music&People.jpg. Misplaced Pages gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Misplaced Pages, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. 23:08, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Please use edit summaries
Hello. Please be courteous to other editors and use edit summaries when updating articles. The Mathbot tool shows your usage of edit summaries to be very low:
- Edit summary usage for Notjake13: 44% for major edits and 36% for minor edits. Based on the last 150 major and 126 minor edits in the article namespace.
Using edit summaries helps other editors quickly understand your edits, which is especially useful when you make changes to articles that are on others' watchlists. Thanks and happy editing! --Kralizec! (talk) 11:17, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Duplicated
You just reverted my remoavl of duplicate material. Please dont, SqueakBox 20:32, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
12012
Your edits and reverts to 12012 removed macrons from the article, which must be used for Japanese terms per WP:MOS-JP. Moreover, your reverts of my edits to the Depression Sign article also removed the category I added, as well as other good faith contributions, for which you did not cite a single reason. The band has been referenced by numerous sources (including those referenced in the article) as being a visual kei group (as also stated in the Japanese wiki), therefore your removal of such referenced content without citing a single reason and further reverting of this material is quite surprising and questionable, to say the least. In the introduction, as the translation of the two Japanese terms sourced in the article are unofficial, literal translations, they cannot be prioritized per WP:OR and therefore the original terms must be used in this case, due to it being sourced and referenced. You also modified the romanization of the rōmaji for the article's title and reverted, again, without citing a single reason for this, even though macrons must be preferred for the transliteration of Japanese titles per WP:MOS-JP. While the case of capitalizations can be made for certain titles, like Pistol, with which I agree with you and retained in my recent edits to the article, some cannot and have to be brought into question, for example, your capitalizing the first letter of "sign" and "kanzenban", for which you did not provide any sources, again. Please see Help:Reverting and do not revert the good faith edits of other users. Thank you. ···巌流 10:00, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- Your revert of good-faith contributions, again, to the same article, is against the policies of reverting and assuming good faith. Your removal of verified content from the article, such as the date and location of birth, is completely unjustified and further is not tolerated on Misplaced Pages; articles regarding living people should have such details as date and location of birth, so your removal of such content is unjustified. Please refrain from reverting the good-faith edits of other users and constantly reverting other edits simply because you disagree with things such as formatting, etc. ···巌流 18:24, 16 June 2007 (UTC)

Barnstar

- Ah, I'm reading your dispute with Ganryuu on his talk page now, I'm getting the big picture. Thanks for your kind words about my contributions! I'll upload another, more WP:BLP/WP:RS compliant revision of the 12012 article later today (could a little while though, need to eat something first, reply on Ganryuu's talk page and on top of that Misplaced Pages is slow as hell on my end right now), think we can keep it on that level together? - Cyrus XIII 19:19, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
- Absolutely, you deserve many barnstars for making Misplaced Pages...pretty. Sorry for not being on much recently, I was camping with some people.--Jacob 16:19, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
Re: Dir en grey birth dates and names
Personally, I would probably look at the scans of this pamphlet and photos/stories about said autographs and and accept them as the real deal - why should anyone want to mess with the data they provide? But as editors, I don't think we can consider either of them reliable sources. as they are not beyond the shadow of a doubt to not have been somewhat falsified (and the pamphlet probably never achieved wide enough circulation, so that people could easily verify what's on the actual copies and what not). While we assume good faith from our fellow editors (and that surely does wonders for our working climate), we have to remain skeptical when it comes to the "outside" world and the sources it provides.
Anyway, could you still upload those scans for me? - Cyrus XIII 11:37, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Image:MTH Promo Picture.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:MTH Promo Picture.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Misplaced Pages articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Leon Sword 21:03, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Dir_en_grey_Yarouze_cover.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Dir_en_grey_Yarouze_cover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Misplaced Pages articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 22:26, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Giraffe
It's really good to see someone getting rid of zoo photos and replacing them with an informative one! Thank you so much. :-) Unfortunately there seems to be a tendency to turn articles into image galleries of zoos at the moment. Thanks again. Mehmet Karatay 22:19, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Oshare kei
How do you reckon we should deal with that article, go ahead with the merge or nominate it for deletion? - Cyrus XIII 01:21, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hmmm, though as it stands now, it'd be all original research. I'd really have a problem with keeping unsourced content in order to appease a few Baroque fans. - Cyrus XIII 10:01, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- Sure, redirects never hurt. Denaar has now nominated Oshare kei for deletion her-/himself, which is kinda odd but might actually help to resolve this a lot faster. - Cyrus XIII 23:44, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
My hopes were premature, Denaar is now resorting to point-making: - Cyrus XIII 12:58, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Weekend
Just got home from Wacken, thanks for holding the fort on a couple of articles. :) - Cyrus XIII 08:28, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
- Nothing really, "Misplaced Pages editor Cyrus XIII had a great time." would hardly be a worthwhile addition. ;) Dir en grey pulled off a decent set, with some neat vocal improvisation between songs, Blind Guardian really got an amazing live sound and Immortal's blast beats put quite a strain on my neck. - Cyrus XIII 01:49, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Antic Cafe
Now I'm going to have to move the page An Cafe back to Antic Cafe - they've said over and over in interviews (at least two in English published on the web) that their original name was going to be Athletic Cafe, then they were looking in the dictionary and saw Antic and changed it to Antic Cafe (which makes no sense, it's Engrish, but hey). I'm still a strong believer in the "research yourself before removing it". I've got so many articles that need to be sourced already - it would be helpful if other people worked on it too.
