The Wild Thornberrys is an American animated television series.

Premise

The series follows the adventures of a fictional wildlife program-making family, the Thornberrys, as they travel the world looking for rare animals to film. Their youngest daughter, Eliza, can talk to animals, as well as her friend Darwin the monkey. She travels the world with her family and usually helps animals solve their problems.

Production

The Wild Thornberys was produced by Klasky Csupo for Nickelodeon. It premiered in September, 1998, and was the first Nicktoon to exclusively use 30 minute stories (previously, other Nicktoons used the two-fifteen-minute-stories format for most episodes, using 30-minute episodes on occasion).
