Zori Balayan (Template:Lang-hy) is an Armenian novelist, journalist, sports-doctor, traveller and sports expert . He awarded by the "Renown master of the Arts" Armenian official title.
Biography
He was born in 1935, in Stepanakert. He studied at the Ryazan Medicine institute, crossed the Kamchatka and Chokotskaya tundras with dog-sledges, travelling as far as the North Sea.
Balayan was participated in the Karabagh Movement, in 1988 he and Armenian poet Silva Kaputikyan had a reception by Mikhail Gorbachev in Kremlin and discussed "the absence of Armenian-language television programs and textbooks in Nagorno-Karabakh schools" and other problems .
Balayan is a journalist of the "Literaturnaya Gazeta".
