==RE: Citing Halo 3 info==
I'm not sure what the formal phrasing for it is but that's how it happened in the game because I just beat the game and watched it. ] 06:09, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

It was added before the game was released in the United States my fault. ] 19:40, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Yes, the guy who started this page is clearly . Still, I thought your speedy was a little severe, and a bit disrepectful to me, who carefully set up a deletion discussion ] after trying to assume some good faith--it's possible that Project Pwn might not have been intended for pure vandalism, but might be intended for editors interested in a specific bit of popular slang. In these cases, it's better to let the discussion run its course and invoke ] after a day or two. Also, you should quit being so sore about the Mzoli (sp?) Meats thing. Bygones.--] 04:07, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Nope it's obvious promotion of adding the word "pwn" to articles, also I'm not quitting, just article writing for here to veropedia (I would have been long gone if veropedia doesn't exist and a inclusionist attack on AFDs haven't happened). I'm obviously avoiding jimbo and friends though. ] 19:04, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Hey Jbeach, I created this project to put the word "pwn" '''wherever appropriate''', such as in the ] page, discussion pages for games like ], and of course the ] page. So why did you jump to conclusions without asking me for intentions? --] 00:21, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

== Hi, stranger! ==

Wow, is it ever good to hear from you! I can't blame you for pulling your hair out over this site. I'm doing the same.

I'd asked to be de-adminned, so yes, I guess I can always reclaim the mop and broom. It's just that I don't want to go through the pure h**l I did under the Lucky 6.9 account which you'll see in the edit history. Even without the mop and broom, I'm still doing NPP, especially since I'm running out of original contribution ideas. Case in point: ]. Thought it met notability standards, but it's more of a ] problem. Oh, well. I'm laying low and doing some general cleanup on my old articles, but I'm just not ready to butt heads with users with large chips on their shoulders.

Please tell me what I need to do to sign up for Veropedia. I can think of a slew of articles including some "fallen features" I'd like to add over there which have been butchered over here.

I can't tell you how nice it is to hear from you. I'm looking forward to learning more about Veropedia. Have a great weekend! --] 23:50, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

== Revert ==

Going around and editing other people's comments on a talk page, essentially on a whim (these people are well aware ] has been rejected by the community) is certainly a form of vandalism in my book. If you don't think so, ] that to the editor who made the original comment. I already have, but perhaps you can do better. Attempting to stifle what people can say to Mr. Wales is embarrassing to the project and problematic in a lot of ways beyond normal shenanigans, IMHO. -- ] 04:09, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Dear Jbeach56, I started a about a couple things I am concerned about with your return. Can you take the time to talk to this user since you deleted the article they created? You didn't leave a note on their talk page to either welcome them or notify them of the deletion. You replied to their note on the Help desk with a curt "See WP:MUSIC", which I'm sure is not going to help a brand new user. When they asked here on your talk page, you removed their question with no explanation. This user made what appeared to be a good faith contribution, I think they should be appropriately assisted if you are going to perform the deletion of that contribution. ] ]/] 04:48, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

== Deletion of Rockabilia ==

Trying to find out why this is up for deletion when it falls in the same category as interpunk, hottopic etc. This company can be found in Introducing Sociolinguistics by Rajend Mesthrie, Joan Swann, Anna Deumert, and William Leap. The no widely used adopted word rockabilia on Page 17: "... language. An example comes from the modern use of -bilia to mean `collectible things associated with the past', as in rockabilia ('rock music of the past') ..." in this book came from the company name Rockabilia. It can also be found in Music Online for Dummies by David Kushner a Spin magazine paperback, in four sections of the book:
1. on Page 108:
"... com Collectibles Rockabilia www. rockabi 1 i a . com Jukeboxes Jukeboxes, Etc. www. j ukeboxesetc . ..."
2. from Index:
"... D-19 rock music bias on Web, 249, 250 Rockabilia Web site, D-5 Rolling Stone e-zine, 272 online e-zine, 24 Web site, 223, D-19 Roots World Web site, D-21 The ..."
3. from Index:
"... RioPort, D-12 music clubs, D-14 ripper software, 169 music videos, D-14 rock and pop, D-18, D-19 MusicFile, 98, 99, D-1610 Rockabilia, D-8 Musician online, 272 Rolling Stone, ..."
4. from Back Matter:
"... The perfect place to shop for posters - whether you're lining your dorm room or your high school locker. Rockabilia www.rockabilia.com 10 Rock 'n' roll memorabilia: Looking for a backstage pass from the original Woodstock or a Grateful Dead mousepad? ..."

I feel this deletion is completely unjustified.

== Deletion of Balti mix ==

Why would you delete something stating "seems like a hoax, nothing on Google"? Google is not the be all and end all. Besides, there was a photo of the subject! Not proof enough to see it with your own eyes??? Ridiculous. you even deleted the image! I demand another admin review your frivolous actions. <small>—Preceding ] comment added by ] (] • ]) 14:09, 24 October 2007 (UTC)</small><!-- Template:Unsigned --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

Since I see you speedied this yesterday and I'm not sure why, I wanted to tell you I've recreated it as a redirect to ]. "Reform and opening up" is a direct translation of the Chinese phrase used to refer to the policies adopted during this time; even in English, it's an extremely common phrase and almost always refers to this specific period of China's history ({{find|Reform and opening up}}). Out of its 230k GHits, there's under a few thousand which are ''not'' referring to this concept . Cheers, ] 01:47, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Why did you delete this? The page is not nonsense. It needed to be updated, but I was just following wikis guidelines to put stubs in place and let people edit the article. I admit there needs to be sources, but this is a relatively new and underground social phenomenon. I figured the community would fill in the blanks. Can the page be undeleted? I put a significant amount of time into the page, and I think the community can decide about its legitimacy. It was deleted so quickly I don't think it was ever given a fair chance to "get on its feet". Thanks, JMunk1 <small>—Preceding ] comment added by ] (] • ]) 16:18, 26 October 2007 (UTC)</small><!-- Template:Unsigned --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

Seriously the article has no chance of surviving AFD, no google hits, and it's mostly nonsense, and you know it. Misplaced Pages isn't the place for drinking games that you or your friends created. Take it to ], in which my deletion would likely be endorsed. ] ] 17:29, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

It is not a drinking game. You don't even know what it is. To make a long story short, it was started in Santa Barbara, CA and I've randomly been encountered it among strangers in both Chicago and New York. Once may be a coincidence, but twice? Anyways I don't see why you go around deleting things on which you are not the expert. That is not an uncivil accusation, it is a judgment I am making based on the evidence of your last post which falsely describes the SP. Please save deletion for things on which you are informed. == Removal of Information from ] ==

Your recent edits to ] removed a significant amount of information. Granted, there was some need for more citations but that's a cue to add them, not remove the information. Anyone at all familiar with the Rev. Nile and his views would not find any of those quotes at all out of character and, as such, citing ] is not enough reason to remove them. (As luck would have it, I easily found sources for all those claims.)

What's more, you cannot dismiss a perfectly good reference just because of the publication it appears in. Yes, the Green Left Weekly is biased but so is every newspaper. Unless Nile has accused them of misquoting him in that article, you should not simply remove the quote.

Please try to assume good faith in the future. Nick 19:02, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
