  • The article needs to be reedited. There are many grammatical errors and grammatically awkward sentences. In some sections (such as ‘History',) it is obvious the article was written by a nonnative English speaker. It almost sounds like a translation.
  • Consolidate Government section into one long section describing the federal government, deferring "main article" links to the main Politics in Iran article
  • Add brief coverage of current student reform efforts
  • Better explain democratic elections in early 1950s (put details in History article). Could someone add a paragraph to flesh this out? How were democratically held elections implemented? The Shah was reinstated, the article states, but does not explain how he had lost power...
  • Fix the nonfactual reference to the Bush administration’s plans to use nuclear force. These plans are not only unconfirmed, but also alleged. Furthermore, the source article is post dated.
  • Add coverage about refugess e.g. from Iraq and Afghanistan, in Demographics.
  • Add boundary disputes to 'Geography and climate' section, e.g. from CIA:
ex. Iran protests Afghanistan's limiting flow of dammed tributaries to the Helmand River in periods of drought; Iraq's lack of a maritime boundary with Iran prompts jurisdiction disputes beyond the mouth of the Shatt al Arab in the Persian Gulf; Iran and UAE dispute Tunb Islands and Abu Musa Island, which are occupied by Iran; Iran stands alone among littoral states in insisting upon a division of the Caspian Sea into five equal sectors
