Meanwhile, Sheppard attempts to contact Teyla and the Athosians, but cannot reach them. Keller and Teyla are tied up and placed in a cage as prisoners. They are then brought to the Bolo Kai leader (played by ]), who begins to interrogate them. Teyla accuses the Bolo Kai of killing her people. However, the Bolo Kai leader is confused, saying that his people are also being hunted by the Wraith and that the village had already been deserted. In order to buy time, Keller gives the Bolo Kai a gate address to an uninhabited planet. Meanwhile, Sheppard, Ronon, and McKay arrive in a Jumper to investigate the planet. At the camp, the Genii spy arrives and frees Keller and Teyla from their cage. The Genii spy then betrays them and holds them at gunpoint, demanding the gate address to Atlantis. Keller manages to deduce that the spy is not Genii at all, but is in fact a Wraith worshipper. Together, both Keller and Teyla manage to subdue the spy. At the same moment, the Bolo Kai arrive but are quickly eliminated by Sheppard and his team. More Bolo Kai arrive and the team is forced to retreat. Meanwhile the spy had disappeared. Back at Atlantis, Teyla is forced to stay in the infirmary for her injuries. Sheppard tells her that the Bolo Kai had disappeared as well as the spy, and that they are still investigating on the whereabouts of the Athosians. Teyla then swears that she will find whoever is responsible for the disappearance of her people and make them pay. After Sheppard leaves, Keller privately approaches Teyla and tells her that she has just gone over Teyla's test results, and that there is something that she must tell her... Plot
Dr. Keller and Teyla depart for New Athos in order to perform routine medical checkups on the Athosians. However, when they arrive, they find the village completely deserted and devoid of life. They suspect that it might be the result of a Wraith attack when a group of unknown people arrive at the camp. Rather than confront them, Keller and Teyla run off and hide in the forest. Teyla tells Keller that the unknown men are Bolo Kai, and while Teyla has never actually seen one in person, she knows that they are extremely dangerous savages. As they trek through the forest, Keller falls and sprains her ankle. She is forced to ditch her gear and they make their way to the Stargate, but it is surrounded by Bolo Kai. Keller and Teyla are forced to run again. However, the Bolo Kai are aware of their prsence and begin to organize for a hunt. Keller and Teyla's only chance for survival is to find the weapons cache the Atantis team had left behind for the Athosians and elude capture until their scheduled contact with Atlantis which is on the next day.
They then retrieve Keller's gear and use it to treat Keller's wound. While treating her sprained ankle, Keller laments that she is not cut out for this kind of stress. Teyla tries to encourage Keller by saying that people are usually unaware of the amount of discomfort they can tolerate. They continue on to find the weapons cache, but it is empty. Both women have no idea what could have happened to the weapons as the Bolo Kai obviously do not have them and the Athosians could have used the weapons to easily fight off the savages. As they continue, Keller and Teyla reach an Athosian-built rope bridge spanning a ravine. Keller is reluctant to cross and nearly falls off the bridge, but is rescued by Teyla. Continuing through the forest, Teyla reveals that the Bolo Kai are cannibals when they are suddenly attacked by a group of Bolo Kai. However, the Bolo Kai catch up to them and completely surround them. Keller and Teyla are quickly subdued and captured while the Genii manages to escape.
Meanwhile, Sheppard attempts to contact Teyla and the Athosians, but cannot reach them. Keller and Teyla are tied up and placed in a cage as prisoners. They are then brought to the Bolo Kai leader (played by Danny Trejo), who begins to interrogate them.
