Rascal Flatts is an American country music group comprised of second cousins Gary Levox and Jay DeMarcus along with good friend Joe Don Rooney. After landing a record deal with Lyric Street Records, the trio released their eponymous debut in 2000.
In May of 2005 they performed their hit "God Bless the Broken Road" live on the popular television program American Idol with idol Carrie Underwood.
