Alright, this isn't working
Obviously, certain users (aka "the usual suspects") have it in for me and are stooping to false accusations of sockpuppetry on my part. I had retired from regular editing and was only making a few edits here and there. I did this without logging in. However, the last three digits of my IP are not static and changed from time to time (only 3 or 4 times since I retired). This was completely out of my control. I was not using these barely different IP addresses as "sockpuppets" to "evade blocks or bans." Not only was it obvious who I was, I freely admitted it. Ah, but that didn't stop the usual suspects from leveling trumped up charges against me. Of course not. I represent what they hate: intelligence, reason, logic, adherence to Wiki guidelines and policies, and - most grievously - an opposing viewpoint (Heaven forbid!). When I made good faith edits in complete agreement with Wiki guidelines, they got together to revert my edits while ignoring said guidelines and accusing me of "Wikilawyering" (well, excuse the crap out of me for sticking to the guidelines, guys - sheesh!). The same people have done this over and over and over to subvert the three-revert rule and wrongfully own articles.
So, whatever. You don't want "sockpuppets" (even if completely imagined)? Fine. Consider me back. I will stay logged in from now on when making edits in order to cheat you of your lame and false accusations against me. Happy? No, you won't be happy until I'm banned forever. Meh.
And in accordance to the block that was wrongly placed on me for "edit warring" (a block which was not placed on anyone else involved, of course, despite the fact that they were just as guilty), I will not edit anything more than my user pages for the next 24 hours or so (it's less than that, but I don't want to do the math right now) as per here. (See that? Even though I believe the block is wrong, I will still abide by it.)
- Jinx, you are clearly editing from these two IPs: Special:Contributions/67.135.49.158 Special:Contributions/67.135.49.177 Special:Contributions/Jinxmchue. Your edits made from these IPs consist of edit warring only and have resulted in you violating 3RR, disruption and at least one block. You're clearly using IPs to avoid having your behavior not associated with this, your main, account. That falls under the defintion of sock puppetry at WP:SOCK: "alternate accounts ... a number of uses which are explicitly forbidden - in particular, using an alternate account to avoid scrutiny, to mislead others by making disruptive edits with one account and normal ones with another, or otherwise artificially stir up controversy is not permitted. Misuse of an alternate account may result in being blocked from editing." If you want to avoid being rightly identified as an abusive sock puppeteer and chronically disruptive editor, then just start participating more constructively, abide by WP:EW, WP:3RR, and edit logged in next time. Do this and you won't have to worry about blocks. FeloniousMonk 19:07, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- What a load of bullcaca.
- A) I was not edit warring. I was making good faith edits in line with Wiki guidelines and policies. Unfortunately, the edits didn't agree with the agenda of you POV warriors, so YOU GUYS started the edit warring with such helpful summaries such as "Yeah it is." I explained my edits. All you guys did was revert based upon your personal POV with no explanation and falsely accuse me of edit warring and sockpuppetry in order to silence me.
- B) I fully admitted who I was and why I was not logging in. I made no attempt to hide my identity or try to get around any rules or blocks, and anyone with half a brain knew that. I don't have control over the changes to the last set of numbers for my IP address.
- C) Disruptive editors are the ones who ignore Wiki guidelines and policies, revert based upon personal agendas and prejudices against other editors, and who falsely accuse other editors making good faith edits of edit warring, disruption and sock puppetry. Looks like that fits you to a tee.
- D) You guys are the ones who need to abide by WP:EW and WP:3RR (an stop working together to subvert them). Jinxmchue 20:28, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, and FYI, I just looked quick and there were four "different" IPs over the last few months, none of which I hid behind or used to violate any rules. This is in order of use:
- User_talk:67.135.49.29
- User_talk:67.135.49.147
- User_talk:67.135.49.158
- User_talk:67.135.49.177

Warning
It appears your 31 hour block as User:67.135.49.177 block log is still in effect. The editing of any pages other than your personal talk page using this account, User:Jinxmchue, is a violation of your standing block and will result in this account being blocked as well and the clock being reset. Also, logging in to your main account in order to side-step a block of your IP is a serious offense that very likely will result in additional, longer blocks, not to mention evidence of bad faith. Consider this your last warning. Do not edit off this page until the block at User:67.135.49.177 block log expires; I have no reservations about blocking you. FeloniousMonk 05:17, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Jinx, make sure that you are still using the same dynamic address that you were blocked under before assuming that your block has expired. If your addy changed, you would not get the block warning. I would give it a rest for a couple of hours, just to be safe. No point in going down in flames over a misunderstanding. If you block is truly expired, maybe it is a time zone difference that is causing confusion with FM, I don't know, but better safe than sorry. - Crockspot 05:36, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
- The time zone for blocks is actually based on server time, which is GMT. FeloniousMonk 05:49, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
