Template:Infobox Internet celebrity Smosh is a duo of college students, Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox, from Carmichael, California. They write, film, act in, and edit their own skits and "music videos". They are currently the most subscribed to channel on YouTube.
Smosh.com and personal lives
Smosh.com began in mid-2002 as a free forum for a group of high school friends in Carmichael, California. The forum now has over 100,000 members. As an extra for smosh.com members, extra videos can be viewed, showing off bloopers and commentary from Smosh. The website also offers high-quality versions of the videos. Anthony released Flash videos made by him on the Smosh website. Anthony and Ian's user names on Smosh.com are "A-Dizzle" and "I-Dawg", in reference to characters used in Transformers Theme and Smoothie King Promo videos. Padilla's last name is said by Hecox in "Male Model", possibly in order to let fans know how to pronounce it due to the spelling. It is pronounced (Pah-dee-ahh, in pseudophonetic transcription) which anglesizes the original Spanish .

Removed videos
Ian and Anthony have removed videos from either the Smosh website and YouTube account for various reasons.
- "The Evil Chain Letter" was one of Smosh's first videos. It made fun of internet chain letters. The video can still be found on youtube from other users.
- "Garret's Blog" was a video that mocked video bloggers. It is no longer on smosh.com or youtube.
- "I-Dawg announcement 'bout YT Awards" was a video released by Smosh to make people aware that they were nominees for the YouTube awards and to tell the viewer to vote for them. The video was only online for about a week, and was removed after voting was closed and Smosh had won.
- "Pokémon Theme" is Smosh's most famous video. In June 2007, the video was removed due to a copyright claim by Shogakukan Production Co. Ltd.. The video received 24,732,537 views before its removal. The video can still be found on smosh.com. It can also be found on youtube from other users.
The Pokémon Theme is the only video that wasn't removed by Smosh. The other three listed above were removed by Smosh themselves.
