You left a message on the Talk page for Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology asking if it shouldn't be included in the category of Philosphy books. I had edited the article for the book, adding the table of contents and the of the Appendix and some formating. I added the book to two categories - Philosophy books, and to Philosophy Publications in the area of Epistemology. Unfortunately, it started something of an edit war. I've asked for mediation since the warring business is silly. If you're interested you will see the comments going back and forth at the bottom of Talk:List of publications in philosophy. I've stopped replying or trying to put the links back since I didn't seem to be working. I'm hoping for some consensus. SteveWolfer 17:01, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

I saw your comment on the talk page of Introduction to Objectivist Epistemology and made a reply. I'm hoping you might make a comment in the mediation I mentioned. Best Wishes, SteveWolfer 20:33, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Mormon collaboration

Hey - I just wanted to thank you for the mormon collaboration of the month - it is a great service - especially since you did 99% of the work on July's --Trödel 16:29, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

Ditto that. Uh, what "props" do I get? OneWeirdDude 22:27, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
So I get noticed, then; sweet. But I tell ya, it's easier than it sounds. OneWeirdDude 15:29, 16 October 2006 (UTC)

I've finished what I'm gonna do for Capt. Moroni's article. For now, at least. Let me know how you like it. OneWeirdDude 03:15, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

Seem like there's not much interest on the MCOTM... for now. I think we've done a pretty good job for as little as we know about Shiblon. Do you need nominations to get it going again? Leon7 02:28, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

POV tag

Hiya, I added my comments to the Anti-Mormonism talk page. Hopefully the matter can be settled peacefully. :-) The article really has come a long way and I think is quite informative on the subject. Thanks for contributing, and thanks for asking for my input as well! --Dlugar 05:59, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

FAC: Mormon handcart pioneers

Mormon handcart pioneers is currently a featured article candidate. Since this was a Mormon COTW, I figured you might be able to chime in with some useful comments. If you get the time, it would be much appreciated. --Lethargy 19:57, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

I might as well copy and paste this message to the other Mormon collaboration participants... --Lethargy 20:00, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

Oilfield Related Photos

Hi, I see you've been adding a lot of oil related articles, i have been trying to do the same but more on the reservoir/field description site. I'm heading up to the field this week coming up, if you have any suggestions for photos for wikipedia articles i should look out for please drop me a line.

Its a canadian onshore gas field in NE B.C., hopefully there should be a few workover units in the field as well. Philbentley 00:43, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

Barnstar

This Barnstar is awarded to Uriah923 for tireless work at improving Mormonism-related articles and staying NPOV on difficult topics

Your ability to improve articles, stay out of controversy by elbow grease (hard work) and citations, and NPOV focus, along with your work on the mormon colaboration of the month is much appreciated. You are a talented writer, a gifted researcher and I'd like to see you publish in academic journals (if you have already, email them to me). Thanks for your great work! -Visorstuff 18:55, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Linguistics and the Book of Mormon

Have you taken a look at this article? It might need a look, beyond what I can do. OneWeirdDude 04:17, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

In other news, I might not be able to contribute much, as I don't know much. Yes, I confess that I wans't thinking at the time, but I sure hope I can still do something. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by OneWeirdDude (talkcontribs) 23:07, 2 April 2007 (UTC).

Baptism of the Dead

After being of no assistance on the recent collaboration all I can do is applaud the whole group's efforts. A fine job improving the article! My thanks to everyone. --Storm Rider 22:26, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

List of pubs

As someone who has contributed to the talk page discussion on List of publications in philosophy and/or that article's previous deletion debate, I thought you might be interested in participating in its new nomination for deletion which can be found here. Thanks. - KSchutte 17:21, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Uriah923, thanks for the barnstar! I was actually meaning to ask you what you think might be able to be done to increase participation in the MCOTM. I notice that there is quite an extensive list of editors who have signed up on the LDS project page, and I think that some of them may not be aware of the collaboration or how to participate in it. I've seen some really good editors among those listed there that I think would be able to contribute significantly. Would a bit of promotion help? Maybe an invitation on the user page of everyone signed up in the LDS project? Just a thought... Bochica 12:20, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

I have no problem helping to promote the MCOTM. When I get time, I can put together some sort of blurb that we could place on the user pages and run it by you.Bochica 02:06, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Extermination edits

Yes, I've been watching those edits and I will eventually have some input on them. At least one of the edits changed a sentence assigned to a citation and added information that the citation may not support (I'll have to look up a few things). I notice that some uncited info about rapes was removed, but I've already added cited quotes regarding "ravishment" of women later in the article, so its no big deal. The anon added useful info about the potential effects of the Mormons voting in the Gallatin election, but it looked more like an editorial comment (I was about to remove it, but I notice that you already did). I'll work on finding a source, because I think that it will eventually be useful if rewritten and cited. I was already planning on adding info about Rigdon's speeches (there were two of them), but I was planning of showing the background and why he gave them, rather than just including his "extermination" quote. I'm not done working on the article yet - I've just been splitting time with other articles (you know, the really fun stuff...like polygamy...nice, relaxing, non-controversial...:-)). Fair use rationale for Image:Appleseed_cast.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Appleseed_cast.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Misplaced Pages articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MER-C 09:41, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:HotRodCircuit.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:HotRodCircuit.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Misplaced Pages articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 18:19, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Image source problem with Image:Cameron logo.gif

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Cameron logo.gif. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Misplaced Pages:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:59, 16 September 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Cut-and-paste move

Hello, Uriah923. It appears that you copied and pasted Ray Rice to Raymell Rice. Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself using the move link at the top of the page, follow the instructions at Misplaced Pages:Requested moves. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Misplaced Pages:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you, Hqb (talk) 19:22, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Got it. Thanks. --uriah923 19:49, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
