This is a list of Wikipedians who are no longer an integral part of our community.

Purpose of this list

The purpose of this list is to provide a reminder to us of those who have left and their reasons for doing so.

Please do not add people to this list who were never an integral part of the community. Don't add users with less than about 1,000 edits. Do not add people unless you are certain they have left, do not add anonymous users identified by their IP address (they could have created an account and still be contributing, or they might have a roaming IP address) and do not add yourself.

  • People who leave a goodbye message on their talk page or elsewhere, and then actually refrain from editing for at least two weeks are likely to have left permanently and may be added to the list.
  • Wait about a month before listing someone who has simply ceased editing, unless you have some other reason for being certain that they have left.
  • In most cases, editors who have gradually adopted a pattern of occasional editing interspersed with long breaks should not be listed merely because they are on one of their long breaks.
  • Editors who return are no longer "missing" and can be removed from the list.
  • Missing Wikipedians should be added to this list by people who knew them well rather than by strangers.
  • If you add your own user name to the list as one of your final edits, your addition might be reverted since it is theoretically impossible for a "missing" Wikipedian to make an edit. You are welcome to add your own name to the stress alerts page, but be warned that the community will accordingly try to encourage you to stay.
  • Wikipedians who no longer edit due to confirmed death should instead be added to Misplaced Pages:Deceased Wikipedians.

  • -- April (talk · contribs · count) - Last edit: 02:12, 6 May 2006 (UTC) - Final edit was to post a notice advising of future intermittent editing. Has not edited since. Regular contributor until February 2003, intermittent after that.
  • ²¹² (talk · contribs · count) - Last edit: 22:02, 24 October 2003 (UTC) - Final edit stated that this user was "Taking a break.". Has not edited since. Prolific contributor through to September 2003.
  • 12.144.5.2 (talk · contribs · count) - Last edit: 20:40, 9 November 2007 (UTC) - Louis Epstein, who posted from a fixed IP, left a valediction on his user page 01:11, 2 January 2006 (UTC); only one edit since (the final edit) to an AfD. Prolific contributor through to the end of 2005.
  • 168... (talk · contribs · count) - Last edit: 03:33, 21 April 2004 (UTC) - Blanked user & user talk pages 22:13, 7 March 2004 (UTC), returning to make a handful of edits (including the final edit) to an RfAr in April 2004. Presumed to have left following disputes arising from the handling of "subvandalism". Prolific contributor until March 2004.
  • 0 (talk · contribs · count) - Last edit: 15:32, 28 February 2007 (UTC) - Prolific contributor until July 2002, with only a handful of edits (in February 2004, and again in February 2007, including the final edit) since.

His vandal fighting skills were surpassed only by the legendary Curps. We can only hope he will return one day. --Captain Wikify 00:20, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
  • Omniplex (talk · contribs · count) - Last edit 10 July 2006, blanked user page; was also very active on Meta from Mar - Jul 2006.
  • OneGuy (talk · contribs · count) - last edit was on 9 December, 2006.
  • Optim (talk · contribs · count): Administrator and Bureaucrat. Missed since 19:00 PM (UTC), March 6, 2004. Optim came to Misplaced Pages in 2003 because he wanted to help with the creation of free educational material. He started 115 new articles and contributed more than 19 photos he took using his digital camera. He decided to leave because he felt fed up with some particular Wikipedians. He wishes to everyone Good Luck and PEACE PROFOUND. Optim 19:08, 6 Mar 2004 (UTC)
    • He blocked himself for a period of one year. We'll be very lucky to have him back, whenever he decides its worth it. Like all of us, he has a lot of things to do, and when he tallied up the stresses and satisfactions... The stress-o-meter was a multiple of the satisfaction meter :( Let's try to make this profoundly beneficial contributor feel as welcome and happy as possible, if and when he returns. • Oven_Fresh (talk · contribs · count) - last edit 17 Aug 2005. His account made edits on June 4, 2006.
