a poem i originally posted at abu ali's talk page (though it's wikilinks continue to morph into new forms)
I mean, how could we?
Express an opinion, that is.
Challenge authority
or bring in points of view underrepresented in the mainstream.
Be persistent,
and yet pen poems.
Write about our poets, writers,
music, and resistance.
How dare we pretend to know who we are
and express what we believe.
How dare we?
Write about what we know
What they've done to us
What they still do to us
And not apologize
for our pursuit of the truth
This user recognizes the Palestinian right of return. |
? | This user supports the right of all individuals and groups to violently resist military aggression by other parties, but due to an alleged consensus he is afraid to name particular individuals or groups which certain administrators find to be unacceptable. |
