Image tagging for Image:Seanpalmer.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Seanpalmer.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We requires this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Misplaced Pages, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

License tagging for Image:Sean palmer low res pic.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Sean palmer low res pic.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Misplaced Pages uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Misplaced Pages.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Misplaced Pages:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 03:11, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Archive 11

I believe you accidentally archived to a mainspace page, Archive 11. I have moved it to User talk:Bluemarine/Archive 11. -- Flyguy649 08:50, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

I see where it should have been now. Do you want the page in your space deleted? -- Flyguy649 08:55, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Hello. Please use the {{editprotected}} template only accompanied by a specific description of an edit request to a protected page. It will be disregarded otherwise. Thanks, Sandstein (talk) 12:50, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Waterboarding talk page, your posts were out of order, but fixed now

On the waterboarding talk page, you posted two new sections for some reason to the top of the talk page. As that is completely out of order, I moved them to the bottom where they belong. Thanks. Lawrence Cohen 14:31, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Comments on Talk:Matt Sanchez

This sort of thing is rude. Please don't belittle other editors again. As our policy on personal remarks states, comment on the content, not the contributor. Thanks. I note you have been warned on your civility before, so consider this a final warning. Neıl 15:52, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Blocked

Seeing as you decided to ignore Neil's warning above and decided to make crude attacks on other editors: refering to Benjiboy as Benny'stoy and Aatombomb as Alphabottom I have blocked you from editing for 48 hours. When your block expires you are welcome to resume constructive editing but please avoid attacking other editors - comment on contributions not contributors. Your antagonistic attitude in relation to the article about you is doing you no favours. I also remind you (I've lost count of the number of times this has been done before) that it is not appropriate for you to edit an article about yourself. WjBscribe 05:50, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

I changed one of your comments

Per this thread on the ANI I changed one of your comments here as at least one editor was uncomfortable with your abbreviation. Theresa Knott | The otter sank 08:05, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

January 2008

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive comments.
If you continue to make personal attacks on other people as you did at Talk:Matt Sanchez, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Benjiboi 15:44, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to Misplaced Pages. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Melanie Morgan, are considered vandalism and immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Benjiboi 15:44, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Clarification

What posts by User:Bluemarine are these warnings in relation to? WjBscribe 00:22, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

{{editprotected}} Hi, per the note above please clarify that npa4 is in regards to Talk:Matt Sanchez and uw-bv is in regards to Melanie Morgan. Benjiboi 05:11, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

This page isn't protected. --MZMcBride (talk) 05:22, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, for some reason I was redirected to the other "January 2008" entry and I though I hit an error message. Benjiboi 06:01, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Blocked indefinitely

Given your continued disregard for policy (WP:CIV, WP:NPA, WP:NOT, WP:COI) despite warnings, I have blocked both this account and User:Mattsanchez indefinitely per the ANI discussion linked above by Lawrence Cohen. If you wish to contest this block, place {{unblock|reason for request goes here}} on your user talk page. --Coredesat 17:21, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Who blocked me and why? Where was the mediation? My article is currently publicly smearing me. I will sue Misplaced Pages for defamation.

Decline reason:

You can now add legal threats to the reasons why you've been blocked. Legal threats are not tolerated and are a one way ticket to an indefinite block. See the links above for the reasons for your initial block. - auburnpilot talk 19:01, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Blue,

I'm willing to help you. But two things must occur. You can not threaten legal action, as no volunteer can help when there is litigation going on.

So will you with draw you legal threat "I withdraw any intent to pursue legal action".

Then, we can go from there.

Regards, M-ercury at 19:04, January 5, 2008 19:04, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

I heartily recommend following that course of action - nothing can be done to re-instate you otherwise. -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 19:21, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Considering that he was blocked before the legal threat, even withdrawing that threat doesn't mean his block should be removed. He was blocked for violating WP:CIV, WP:NPA, WP:NOT and WP:COI as noted above. -- ALLSTARecho 19:33, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Yes, but once he withdraws, I can take his concerns here. Thanks, M-ercury at 19:35, January 5, 2008 19:35, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
But - again - that's not why he was banned. He's already gotten away with far more than any other editor could get away with... --Smashville 20:50, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
It is a stretch to claim he has "gotten away with far more than any other editor". For example, User:Zephram Stark comes to mind. He harassed people, threatened them, used racial slurs, personal attacks, changed people's edits, and then continued (and continues) with sockpuppets. Sure, Bluemarine is bad, but that doesn't mean we have to label him as the baddest of the bad. -- kainaw 02:23, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Block reduced to one week

I think an idefinite block was too long in the circumstances. Material in contravention of BLP was added to Matt Sanchez with undoubtedly served to bait this user. I am reducing this block to one week with the consent of the blocking of admin. Further incidents may result in the indefinite block being reinstated and I am minded to refer the issues of Matt Sanchez's article and his editing of this website to the Arbitration Committee. WjBscribe 02:47, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Requests_for_arbitration#Matt_Sanchez

I feel that the matter of your article here and your editing now requires the involvement of the Arbitration Committee. The Committee will decide whether or not to hear the case. As I understand it, you may make a statement here as to whether you think or should accept or decline the case and some will copy it over to the page (Misplaced Pages:Requests_for_arbitration#Matt_Sanchez). Should the case be accepted, you will probably be unblocked to allow you to participate in the case. WjBscribe 04:11, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm up for some kind of mediation, but there are several issues that should be addressed. Matt Sanchez (talk) 21:01, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

BLP

I will note that you have withdrawn your legal intent here. With regards to the article, if you have any concerns, post them in this section. Now I will only address them if they are in line with our biography of living persons policy and other applicable policy and guideline. I have no opinion on the content and I will not advocate for any content. I will also attempt to answer your questions to help you get a better understand of how this site works and why things are done the way they are done. I won't comment on behavioral issues of any editor here. Regards, M-ercury at 21:07, January 6, 2008

Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration/Bluemarine

An Arbitration case involving you has been opened, and is located here. Please add any evidence you may wish the Arbitrators to consider to the evidence sub-page, Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration/Bluemarine/Evidence. Please submit your evidence within one week, if possible. You may also contribute to the case on the workshop sub-page, Misplaced Pages:Requests for arbitration/Bluemarine/Workshop.

On behalf of the Arbitration Committee, John Vandenberg (talk) 22:07, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

In order to allow you to participate in the arbitration case, I have unblocked this account. Please refrain from editing any other pages at this time, otherwise I will block this account again, irrespective of whether the edits are constructive or disruptive.
If you have any queries about arbcom procedures or how to participate in the case effectively, feel free to ask me on my talk page, or email me if you feel that is necessary. John Vandenberg (talk) 07:03, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Just to clarify, the pages which you are allowed to edit are:
If you edit any other page, for any reason or in any manner, this account will be reblocked. Also, you should remain civil and avoid unnecessary drama; disruptive behavior on these pages may result in the account being reblocked. (see Don't moon the jury). John Vandenberg (talk) 11:00, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Advocacy offer

Due to the seriousness of the issues involved in your ArbCom case, I would like to offer to advise and assist you (informally) on the conduct of the case and (where appropriate) to make representations to the Arbitrators on your behalf. We don't have lawyers on Misplaced Pages, so I will not necessarily be fighting your corner against all accusations, but I do think that you are entitled to fair advice and representation, in order to ensure that the outcome of the case is as fair as possible; as an experienced Misplaced Pages user, I believe I am qualified. If you choose to accept my help, you can reply here (since the Committee has told you not to edit other pages) and we can discuss your present position. Walton 16:50, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
