== Plot ==

Arkwright (]) is worried because the ] inspector is coming to his shop for an audit. On the other side of the road, when Nurse Gladys Emamnuel's (]) ] breaks, she asks Arkwright if she can use his. Arkwright has to refuse since his washing machine is not even electric. Nurse Gladys storms into the shop and states an ] to Arkwright. If he wants to marry her, he has to upgrade his domestic hardware.

Arkwright goes to the hardware store and asks the owner to deliver him a brand new washing machine. That means just "deliver", not sell, since Arkwright only wants Nurse Gladys to witness the delivery of a new machine. He also agrees to buy an old second hand washing machine and a ].

After the "delivery", Granville (]) uses the new (but old) machines, which are very noisy and vibrate a lot. When nurse Gladys enters the shop, she spots the dryer moving across the room, and leaves in a bad mood. The only good news for Arkwright is that the machine is so noisy that the VAT inspector also leaves.
