Welcome!

Hello, TracyLinkEdnaVelmaPenny, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thank you for your contributions{{#if:I Am Legend (film)|. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Please do not delete content from pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, without explaining the reason for the removal in the edit summary. Unexplained removal of content does not appear constructive, and your edit has been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox for test edits. Thank you. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 03:12, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

Anna Karenina and other edits

Please do not delete content from pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to Anna Karenina (1997 film). You degraded the article by deleting cast and crew. You also deleted the free image of the leading actress who played the title character, that image is in public domain. Then you copied speculative data from IMDb, describing "goofs," which are questionable and do not belong to Misplaced Pages. Have you seen the movie? The film was made by international team of filmmakers from 6 nations of Europe, plus some crew from USA and co-star Mia Kirshner from Canada. What is your reason for posting American flag here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.159.36.243 (talk) 02:02, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Meet the Applegates.jpg

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Meet the Applegates.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Misplaced Pages takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Mønobi 03:34, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Wackness.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Wackness.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 09:51, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Please do not add copyrighted material to Misplaced Pages without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Lassie (1994 film). For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Misplaced Pages takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Please do not copy and paste content from IMDB into film articles. Such content is not desirable and it is a copyright violation. Collectonian (talk) 03:39, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Welcome, and thank you for editing Misplaced Pages. May I ask that you please be careful to not remove maintenance tags from an article without addressing the problem the tag presents? If you believe the tag is placed there in error, you may feel free to use the talk page to explain why the tag was removed. Thank you. Collectonian (talk) 03:45, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Stop copying and pasting from IMDb - it is illegal

Please do not add copyrighted material to Misplaced Pages without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Juno (film). That was your final warning. The next time you add copyrighted material to Misplaced Pages, you will be blocked from editing. - Rjd0060 (talk) 23:34, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Blocked

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 55 hours in accordance with Misplaced Pages's blocking policy for repeatedly inserting copyrighted material into Misplaced Pages despite numerous warnings. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

I would strongly recommend you read the copyright policy carefully before your block expires and you resume editing. Copyright violations place Misplaced Pages in danger and are not tolerated. Please remember that "publicly accessible" does not mean "not copyrighted". Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Tom Brown Schooldays.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Tom Brown Schooldays.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Misplaced Pages:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Misplaced Pages:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Misplaced Pages policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:37, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Please use edit summaries. It is considered rude not to do so. Ward3001 (talk) 23:05, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

It is more than rude: I just spent 5 minutes determining whether your edits at Atonement (film) were valid or not because you couldn't be bothered to add a few words of explanation in an Edit Summary. Please be considerate.

Cry-Baby (musical) and Hairspray (musical)

  • First notice:

Welcome to Misplaced Pages. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Misplaced Pages has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

See for help in editing musical theatre articles. Specifically: "Song lists should be bulletted (*), not numbered unless you can reference a particular copy of the full score (or full vocal score or Piano/Conductor score) and are using the numbers within."

Also, "The titles of the musical numbers should be "in quotes" " per MOS:MUSIC--not in bold.

Additionally, some of the data you entered in incorrect (for example, it's "Von" not "von" (Hairspray (musical)). JeanColumbia (talk) 22:40, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

More copyright violations

This edit contain blatant cut-and-pastes from IMDB (here). Please stop, or you may be blocked again. —johndburger 04:12, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Future films

You have been informed before; articles on future films are not supposed to exist until shooting begins, per the notability guidelines for future films. Hence, the creation of G.I. Joe (2009 film) is inappropriate where the content resides at G.I. Joe#Live-action film until production actually begins. I've redirected accordingly. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 16:00, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
