- This isn't official, as it hasn't been assented by the Committee yet. It's a proposal which will be put before them shortly. Do not cite this page until it has moved out of the userspace and forms part of the mediation policy.

Included in privilege
The Mediation Committee has agreed that comments made in the following situations will be covered as part of privilege:
- Comments made on Misplaced Pages:Requests for mediation/* and Misplaced Pages talk:Requests for mediation/* pages where the case has been accepted by the Committee.
- Emails sent to either the mediator or any member of the Mediation Committee (during or about formal mediation proceedings), or the Mediation Committee's private mailing list.
- Any and all edits made on the Mediation Committee's private wiki if a case is mediated there.
- Any and all communication in other mediums (ie. IRC, Skype, etc.) where that was part of the formal mediation effort as instigated and presided over by the mediator.
