Gonzaga College SJ
The recent removal of my additions to the Notable Alumni section are unclear as to their reason and mistaken. Ian Featherstone is a successful trainer and part time Jockey with Goffs stables, Naas, Co. Kildare. Killian O'Toole is a professional gambler as of 5 years and is involved in the creation of odds and prices for Ladbrokes and Paddy Power. William Kavanagh SJ is a new priest serving his first term in Calcutta helping the poor. Finally Patrick Lynch is a journalist and editor for the Economic section in the national newspaper, The Irish Times. Thank you for your repeated service and the reinstatement of these Alumni is appreciated. Regards —Preceding unsigned comment added by Plynch90 (talk • contribs) 23:09, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Gonzaga College
Hi there, just looking for some advice. There are a number of users (who I believe are the same person) who are both blatantly vandalising Gonzaga College, and making dubious additions to the Notable Alumni section. I don't want to fall foul of the 3RR here because although the additions are odd and unlikely, they can't really be classified as blatant vandalism. Any suggestions? Thanks! Todd Karr & User talk:Toddkarr
You may want to look at your actions on this one again. Unless I'm wildly mistaken, the creator of an article blanking the page can be construed as a request for speedy deletion under WP:CSD G7. At the very least I think giving him a warning and telling him to provide an informative edit summary when he had already done so is a case of biting the newbie. Gp75motorsports block not expiring
Could you take a look at User:Gp75motorsports' block, it should've expired a while ago but apparently his IP autoblock is still in effect. Thanks. Equazcion •✗/C • 18:34, 8 Feb 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I think I'm ready to go up, I've worked through everything at User:MBisanz/AC and can't thnk of any new areas I want to learn. And I've finished my most back-logged article work. Do you think I'm ready and do you plan on writing a co-nom? MBisanz 18:55, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
Unfair revert.
Hi, the recent edit you made to Golden plates has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. Keilana| 23:05, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
What the hell? it was a constructive edit with a clear edit summary! Your reason for reverting me doesn't even make sense.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.42.176.201 (talk • contribs)

Sockpuppetry
Hi. :) If I've done this one wrong (User talk:Sedlam) please help me fix it. As I mentioned at ANI (where I went seeking advice), I've had no experience to speak of with sock puppets and none with check-user. Since I advised the complaining editor how to proceed, I thought it incumbent on me to follow up, based on that statement on checkuser that "In most cases, any block or other action based on the outcome will not be taken by the checkuser-people or the clerks. Instead, you will have to do this yourself." --Moonriddengirl 00:39, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you. I'm more than happy to stay hands off of sock puppetry in most cases. :D I've got quite enough doing at WP:CSD and WP:BLP. I'll keep this in mind for the future. --Moonriddengirl 00:47, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- If you are tagging a confirmed account, it might be better to use
{{sockpuppetCheckuser|name of puppet|name of puppet}}
so it links to the appropriate case subpage. Just a heads up. Spebi 00:58, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Why is Griot's block indefinite?
Ok, so there's CU evidence that he's been sockpuppeting, but why the indefinite block? On the sockpuppet accounts, sure, but on his main account? He's a longstanding Misplaced Pages editor, and the combined total of sockpuppet activity isn't bad enough to justify an indef, as I see it... Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 01:02, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- I would prefer to discuss this with you in more detail first, but I am strongly inclined to lower Griot's block to a week sometime tomorrow morning. If you object, please contact me on ANI or my talk page or here. Thanks. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 02:49, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Could I also ask why you redirected Griot's talk page? He's entitled to post an unblock request there if he wishes, and the redirect might interfere. --Akhilleus (talk) 05:52, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
I don't want to sound overly critical, but this action in my view showed tremendously bad faith given the size of the offence we're looking at - the sockpuppet user and talk page was completely uncalled for, we don't do that even to some of our worst so I don't see why we should start doing it with someone with a generally good edit history who seems to have a single offence on the file. Note I'm completely uninvolved in the disputes which led to this, but saw it at AN/I and was just blown away. I reblocked for a week per the discussion above and at AN/I. Orderinchaos 10:23, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- Fair enough. Keilana| 16:07, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
AIV oddity
Sorry but I have to ask... what was this about? One edit ever and it doesn't even look like vandalism. Is there sockpuppetry involved that I'm not aware of? I was going to let it go before finding out that you're an admin. Color me confused... —Wknight94 (talk) 05:20, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
My userpage
K, if you don't like something on my talk, feel free to remove the whole thing, not hide it, as you did the other day. As long as it's not that big, bold thing I call my "rant line", the cup of tea, or the talkheader, it's okay to remove content from my page. --Gp75motorsports 12:58, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hey, sorry for the vandalism. Do u go to Gonzaga in Dublin. I know some people there, cud ya say hi to them please??? Please reply it's important
- No, it's cool. And no, I stay in America (can't travel too much, gotta save up for parts and stuff). --Gp75motorsports 05:33, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Again (again!)
In reference to this, both users have started again, with I vonH still harassing myself and another editor with edit summaries and with I vonH and Tfoxworth both continuing their reversions, most of which were, as previously posted, initiated from their stalking. Charles 23:51, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- Would you be initiating it or would I? Either way, I can weigh in. Charles 00:00, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- I think the just attention would be received if you initiated it and I followed in with my comments, explaining the situation, etc. Charles 00:04, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you, Keilana, I have commented at your ANI report and expanded a little bit on the time line and my experiences. I am anticipating (and hoping) that any intervening parties ask some clarifying questions as it is the best way to address or present the most important points in the whole volume of the situation. Too long of an initial post by me might have been overwhelming. Charles 02:21, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
York Minster Stained Glass
Hi, Keilana, what a coincidence, I obviously know you from around WP:AN/WP:ANI. I have been planning this article for a little while but got bogged down in an RfA(!). I have a location plan you can see here (top row, right hand) and intend to write generally about the main windows since they are well-documented. I have my own photos but if yours are already on Commons it would make sense to re-use those. Maybe I'll make a start this coming week. Regards, --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 03:02, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for your kind words. I will go through my photos tomorrow and see what I can find, I spent many years in York so I've got plenty. Any omissions I can source from yours if you don't mind. Once the article is up & running it would be nice to see it as a GA and maybe an FA, since the topic is well-sourced and worthy in itself. An extra pair of eyes would be useful. Cheers,--Rodhullandemu (Talk) 03:13, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Dave and Rich Christiano
In regard to Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Dave and Rich Christiano, I would recommend against making "procedural" AfD nominations if you believe the article is not a speedy deletion candidate but you have no opinion as to whether it should be kept or deleted. It's best to let someone who really wants the article deleted submit the AfD nomination instead. Otherwise, we could have an AfD nomination outstanding in which nobody participating in the discussion really wants the article to be deleted. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 07:41, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm a first-time contributor. I inadvertently saved my article prematurely and was planning on doing some significant editing. Why did you delete it so fast, that is literally minutes after it was posted?!? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Seanjpf (talk • contribs) 17:29, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
But where is my article to continue working on it? Do I have to start from the beginning? The interface is confusing enough for a first-timer like myself, without having someone delete my work without giving enough time to address concerns.
Please reinstate my article to my sandbox. I was having difficulties with making my references work— Preceding unsigned comment added by Seanjpf (talk • contribs)

Hi. Wow. Thanks for the quick response and helpful advice. I appreciate the need for verification and citation but apart from having the physical Cassette in my possesion ( I am in the process of converting several hundred cassettes onto mp3 format) and reliable confirmation of this album from Amazon and other record retailers I am at a loss to provide anything further. I am so far indebted to the extremely useful information that I have recieved for Wiki concerning Recording artists that I just wanted to pass on information for the use of others in a similar situation as myself Degar2 (talk) 20:07, 10 February 2008 (UTC)Degar2 (talk) 20:22, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
Unprotection
I believe the dispute over Interpretations of 2001: A Space Odyssey are mostly over. The new draft proposal is ready to be put into the mainspace. The disputing editor may still want to tag the article, but as long as he puts it up for AfD and puts the appropriate tags in place, I don't see a problem. If you can unprotect the article, i think it'll be fine. Dreadstar † 22:42, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks! I put the new version into place. Let's see what happens now... Dreadstar † 23:00, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- I'm afraid Dreadstar misled you – there's a number of issues still under dispute, and I fear that another request for protection might be forthcoming. I'll do my best to work things out in a civil manner with the other editors, but I also fear that this article should have remained protected for a longer period of time. Groupthink (talk) 23:16, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- As I feared, Dreadstar is being unreasonable and is reverting my removal of material that violates WP:SPS. I am re-requesting full protection at WP:PROTECT. Groupthink (talk) 23:52, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- It was declined. Don't edit war. When your block expires, if you do it again, I will protect the article and block you. Keilana| 01:07, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

I came across this checking Groupthink's edits, see his talkpage entry I just made about unblocking. — Rlevse • Talk • 01:08, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks Rlevse. He can serve a 24-hour block for edit-warring, I would have personally gone with 48 hours at the least. Keilana| 01:12, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
I seem to have inadvertently stirred up this anthill three weeks ago, and am distressed at the rancor that has resulted. I cannot figure out if it is substantive or just personal. I got a nice apology from Groupthink on my talk page (for newbie biting) a week ago, which I appreciated, and it appears all parties are dedicated to improving the article. So I had hoped we were over the worst, but it ain't so, it seems. There's no big rush -- if it takes three months to get a really fine article, that is OK with me. But I'd hope everyone would feel OK about it. Anyhow, any suggestions (or criticisms) to help the process would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill Wwheaton (talk) 03:01, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, Keilana. Thank you for the unblock, and for reprotecting the article under contention. Sorry I didn't reply to you sooner, but it took me a little bit to obtain a new IP address (although my account is unblocked, the IP address I was posting from appears to remain blocked).
- After a nice walk in the park to watch the sun set and some time to reflect, it occurs to me that I need to walk away from this dispute. I'm still going to call for an RfC, but after that, I'm going to cease my involvement with this particular article. It's time to let others make my case for me. My apologies for any feathers ruffled, inconveniences induced, etc. Groupthink (talk) 03:10, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
Thanks Keilana. Just had a look at the links that you have sent me. Brilliant. I shall have to investigate further. I haven't found any mention of this album reaching any chart positions. By the way, still struggling to find my way around the discussion and talk navigations. Do you pick up my talk from this page or from your own page. It's a bit confusing at the moment but I'm sure it will get easier. Regards Dave Degar2 (talk) 12:11, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

After this mediation THUGCHILDz and Guy0307 edit in disruptive manner like as a vandal!!!! Their edit warring in national sport is absurd.
