Five monks were meditating when suddenly the wind picked up and a flag nearby flapped in the wind.

The first monk, the youngest of the group, broke his meditation and shouted, "Flag is moving!"

The second monk shouted, "Wind is moving!"

The third monk shouted, "Mind is moving!"

The fourth monk shouted, "Nothing is moving!"

The fifth monk, the eldest of the group, shouted, "Mouths are moving!"

Floola

The version I deleted consisted of only a link, so it wasn't really an article, and hence covered by the Criteria for speedy deletion. I'm not sure I can comment about the notability of the article, but if you produce a more substantial edit, then it will probably not be covered by CSD G4. Titoxd 19:09, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

The versions prior to the first deletion sound heavily like an advertisement, so they would have need to be completely rewritten to comply with Misplaced Pages guidelines. The versions before the second deletion were a straight copy-paste from the application's website, so those needed to be deleted too. Again, a new re-write from scratch wouldn't be able to be deleted under the {{db-repost}} rule. Titoxd 19:14, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
The entire text is as follows:
Floola is an iPod management tool. Unlike iTunes and most other iPod managers, it doesn't store its music library on your hard disk. The upside to this is that you can manage your iPod from nearly any computer by just putting the Floola executable on your iPod. Since Floola is using the RealBASIC programming language, it is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.
I don't think that would actually help at all in writing the article, but if you think so, go ahead... Titoxd 19:22, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

Just thought I'd say something.

You and I have been on opposite ends of a few arguments, but I just wanted to say that I'm glad to see you still here at Misplaced Pages. I just read User:Zenwhat/Stay sane, and I agree with most of it. Just remember, 1) Don't sweat the small shit, and 2) It's all small shit. -- RoninBK T C 05:26, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Essay Categorization and/or Classification

Your help is urgently needed at Misplaced Pages:WikiProject Essay Categorization and/or Classification if we are to finish categorizing all the Misplaced Pages essays before the day is out, a feat which would surely be sufficiently impressive to be worthy of a Misplaced Pages Signpost mention, and make us all famous. Please sign up as a participant. Thanks, Obuibo Mbstpo (talk) 23:16, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Political questions

What do you think of this essay? I might have to make some changes, in light of the unfolding Village Pump conversation you recently participated in. Obuibo Mbstpo (talk) 22:19, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

Your poem

I think some of your actions were viewed as trolling because people (including me) didn't understand your motives or rationale, and thought it was in bad faith. But Misplaced Pages:What is a troll? specifically notes that "Reversion warriors, POV warriors, cranks, impolite users, and vocal critics of Misplaced Pages structures and processes are not trolls." You and I are probably in the latter category. (This is not to say that I have never engaged in blockable behavior; just that criticism of Misplaced Pages structures and processes, in and of itself, is not inherently blockable; although the way in which it is pursued can be.) Obuibo Mbstpo (talk) 19:11, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

One person I spoke with suggested it was Identity Oppression (read the article on Meatball wiki).
I am a Zen Buddhist and a very bizarre person. I am also a very lazy hypocrite. I often amuse myself with my own stupidity, then have to scold myself for being some amused over something I shouldn't be amused about!
This eccentricity frightens people. Sometimes, it even confuses me. Through categorical perception, if they can't drop me in the box labeled, "Normal person," then they must therefore drop me in the box labeled, "Troll."
Also, see the Fundamental attribution error. If somebody on Misplaced Pages acts weird or flips out, we tend to say, "Oh, that person is just crazy," rather than, "That person faced particular circumstances which led them to act that way."
You could make a list, though, of people with similar views on Misplaced Pages. They're the minority (and most of them do actually contribute a lot of the mainspace, else they'd get indef-blocked), but they aren't trolls.   Zenwhat (talk) 19:49, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
