The Research Institute for Development,Communication and School Partnership(RIDCSP),is a Non-Governmental,Not-for-Profit and Apolitical Organisation that was founded in Cameroon in 1999 .This organisation obtained legally authorised status on the 14th of November 2001 following the government recognition of the latters activities. | |||
RIDCSP,has as its mission statement,"Meting the Needs of Our Community through Education and Research". | |||
This organisation's areas are the rural and urban areas of Cameroon.However,the organisation is gradually spreading its tentacles to the international scene especially in the domain of humanitarian assistance. | |||
The aims and objectives of of this organisation that are broad-based are as follows:- | |||
-To improve knowledge and develop skills to plan and implement change. | |||
-To coodinate the exchange of ideas and opinions between pupils,students and teachers of schools. | |||
-To develop skills and ability to plan and impliment positive change. | |||
-To alleviate poverty. | |||
-To plan and execute research projects. | |||
-To educate the public on development and communication strategies and tecniques through seminars,workshops,symposia. | |||
-To open libraries in rural and urban areas with a view to curb illiteracy. | |||
-To fight against the spread of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. | |||
-To promote sustainable developemnt,forestry preservation/conservation. | |||
-To promote human rights with special attention on women and children. | |||
-To promote communication and Information Technology in Cameroon. | |||
From its very conception ,RIDCSP has been very rigorous in it efforts to promotethe ideals for which it was created.This partly accounts for the enviable reputation the NGO enjoys on both the national and international scenes. | |||
