Misplaced Pages

Hello and welcome to my user page.
I have been a member of Misplaced Pages since November 30, 2007 (though the records say December 1 because of time zone differences). I discovered Misplaced Pages in August of 2006 when its articles on pretty much every common noun started showing up in the top ten results on Google's search engine. At first, I didn't really edit much, though as time went on, I found myself correcting grammatical errors and such fairly regularly. I continued to use Misplaced Pages more and more until I decided to join the project.

Interests and favorite areas of Misplaced Pages

I am very interested in all forms of computer programming and I often use Misplaced Pages to find the definition of unfamiliar words and terms related to computing technology. In addition, I commonly visit pages relating to video games, astronomy, and science in general. As mentioned previously, I really enjoy computer programming, so if you need help with formatting or modifying a template, userbox, or another area that requires at least a moderate level of programming expertise, I am happy to help out.
When I'm not editing or participating in other areas of Misplaced Pages, I enjoy reading articles on topics that are not available in any other encyclopedia, such as Star Wars and Star Trek. Although much of my time here is spent on relatively few groups of pages, sometimes I like to just pick a random, slightly interesting link, go on to that article, read it, and repeat the process.

About Me

I was born and live in New York State and I think this is the best state in the U.S., regardless of what any Texans might say.
My interests include reading, computer and web programming and... well, I guess that's about the useful things I do.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching TV, playing video games (favorite game: Warhawk.), and playing sand-lot football. (even though I'm not very good at it.)
I also enjoy eating pizza, lasagna, ziti, (basically anything italian), and most junk food.
As to where I came up with my username: long, boring story...
