Al Gore III (born 1982) is the son of former United States Vice President Al Gore, best-known in the public eye for several brushes with the law that garnered national media attention largely as a result of his father's political career.
He was the victim of a terrible accident at age 9, being struck by a car while attending a baseball game in Baltimore, Maryland.
In the summer of 2000, Gore was cited by the North Carolina Highway Patrol for driving 97 mph in a 55-mph zone. Under an agreement with prosecutors, a reckless driving charge was dropped in the North Carolina case, but he was fined $125 for speeding and his driving privileges in the state were suspended.
In September 2002, he was ticketed for driving under the influence. He was pulled over and ticketed by military police just outside Fort Myer in suburban Virginia.
He was arrested on marijuna charges in December 2003.
